Hope you're enjoying the holiday week. My brain seems to be taking a break as I'm not accomplishing much--haha! I haven't posted all my Christmas cards, so thought I'd share the one I made for hubby.
The mistletoe image & sentiment from Hero Arts Happy Holly Days stamp set had never been used. I stamped it twice at the top of a white panel in Brilliance Pearlescent Ivy. The sentiment was stamped in red & black as I didn't want the harshness of pure black. I colored the berries with white Pico Embellisher & added the panel to a card whose edges were sponged with the Ivy ink. I'm entering ABNH & SSS Wednesday.

Such a beautiful inspiration photo for the PTI Blog Hop this month. I used Rosie Posie, Friendship Jar Flowers, Turning a New Leaf & Lovely Leaves to make my heart.
The inks are Lovely Lady, Autumn Rose, Green Parakeet, New Leaf & Smokey Shadow. I layered the heart to panels of vellum & Smokey Shadow. Hard to see, but there are a few drops of Pico Embellisher Shimmer for embellishment. I'm also entering SSS Wednesday.

Hard to believe, but the year is coming to an end. I'm thankful to Dyane for the opportunity to be on the Precious Remembrance Shop 2018 DT. My final post is on the PRS Blog today where I show 5 of my favorite projects. I also have a new card using Coffee Love and Everyday stamp sets.
I did some ombre watercoloring with gray & red Zigs, stamped the edge of my card & added white sequins for steam. Hope you'll check out my post.
Edited to add: I'm entering SSS Wednesday.
I've gotten behind, but I'll catch up with you soon. Enjoy the rest of the holiday season. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by. If your blog address is in your profile or comment, I will visit you.
I've been meaning to get a post written, but my brain seemed to need a break--haha! First is a card I posted on Flickr & it's one of my favorites this year.
My sweet friend, Susanne, sent me a couple SSS Bare Tree Oval Collage die cuts. I started by adding Nuvo Glimmer Paste through the SSS Falling Snow stencil. Then I blended a couple Distress Inks on a panel of textured white cardstock for the background. The sentiment from AJVD (thank you, Rosemary) was stamped in Versafine Clair brown & the little wooden star was silver embossed. I entered SSS Flickr, Flickr Love Handmade Cards & SSS Christmas Card Day.
Next is my entry for PTI MIM Ombre Sentiments. I've hardly used Splits: Just a Note, but really love it.
This time I kept it very simple & white embossed the image on a Soft Stone panel. The sentiment was then stamped in Smokey Shadow & Weathervane for the ombre. Gotta say, think I'll use that more often for sentiments. My order with Pierced Feature Frames dies just arrived & I cut the large one from Smokey Shadow. I didn't want to add color to the image, so just used Pico Embellisher Shimmer.
Love the super fine applicator tip the Pico Embellishers have. I'm also entering AAA (3 words).
My last card is one of few multiples I did for Christmas this year. I make a one layer card for hubby's 13 cousins we've only known a few years. Most of them live near each other, so wouldn't want anyone to feel they didn't get as nice a card--haha!
I stamped the 2009 Hero Arts Big Pine Bough in green on each card & then switched to gold & overstamped each one. It didn't have to be exact, so a great way to use a wood mounted stamp for multiple cards. The HA 2007 wood mounted sentiment from Traditional Messages was stamped using a well-inked red pad, so no second stamping needed. These were so easy to complete, I decided to add Christmas Red Stickles for some berries. I'm entering ABNH, CAS on Friday & PB & More.
Thanks so much for taking time to stop by. If your blog address is in your profile or comment, I will visit you. Wishing everyone a lovely Christmas.
We're having an artsy celebration week on the Precious Remembrance Shop Blog. Today it's my turn & I stepped outside my comfort zone to create a fun birthday card. I used 3 PRS stamp sets (Everyday, Oh So Fun & Fall Colors)--none of which include a flower.
That didn't stop me as I saw the circle as a bloom, one of the lines as a stem & the triangle as leaves. I added a little solid triangle to give my bloom more substance.
The Distress Oxide inks are abandoned coral, cracked pistachio & wilted violet. I added little white dots to the flower center with a marker for added interest. The MFT scalloped frame die cut was stacked 6 high with the top layer gray cardstock. A dark gray ink was used for the sentiment & I stamped the splatters in abandoned coral. I can't draw simple images, but I did have fun combining stamps to make a flower. Hope you like it & will check out all the posts this week by my talented teammates.
