Three Cards

I've been making cards, but just haven't gotten a post written for awhile.  Here are 3 for various challenges.  First is my entry for Gina K Monthly Mix where the challenge is to make a red & white card with a tag on it.
I used GK Sketched Wreath Builder stamp set, PTI tag, Candied Apple Distress Oxide & Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.  I'm also entering SSS Wednesday via IG.

Next is a card I've had in mind for a couple weeks & finally got it made.  I die cut Stamplorations Trendy Spring Blooms from a black scrap which I backed with the gorgeous, pink Heidi Swapp glitter tape.
I die cut them a second time so I could stack the blooms 2 high in the negative spaces.   I added Nuvo Glaze to the blooms, stamped the old HA sentiment & added 3 black sequins.   I'm entering Stamplorations CAS challenge, Stamplorations Anything Goes challenge, SSS Wednesday & The Snippets Playground.

I'll finish with another Christmas card.  The snowflakes are from Spellbinders Nov 2019 Small Die of the Month Kit & this is my first card using it.
I colored 2 sizes of snowflakes with red & aqua inks, brushed them with a shimmer pen & layered them.  Found some very old white glittery pearl stickers for the centers.  I die cut Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles from kraft cardstock & white embossed the sentiment from AJVD Christmas Star stamp set.  I added white splatters before attaching the snowflakes & adding it to a white card.  I'm entering NBUS, Rudolph Days, SSS Wednesday via IG & WAW.

Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.  I'm way behind on reading blogs, but if your blog address is in your profile or comment, I will visit you as soon as I can.

Stars & a Wreath

The November challenge at Twofers is Stars.  Took awhile, but eventually I had an idea for a Christmas card & then for a friendship card.
The Christmas card began by stamping Stampendous Manger Scene (minus the star) in VersaMagic Aegean Blue & clear embossed.  Then I brushed on Distress Inks & splattered with water.  The sentiment from AJVD was stamped in Versafine Clair Acorn & clear embossed.  Then I die cut the scene with the manger in the center of the CAS-ual Fridays star die.  The star was attached to fun foam before it was glued back in place.  I finished it off with a scored frame & added Stickles to the halo.
I've always sent a lot of friendship cards, so that's what I made for my second card.   I pulled out an old paper pack with large & small dots.
The same CAS-ual Fridays star die was used with the large dotted papers & the smallest star in the set was used with the small dotted papers. The small stars were attached to fun foam, covered with Stickles & glued to the big star centers. I black embossed an old HA sentiment to the black panel before gluing on the stars.
I also made a card for the November PFS Monthly challenge.  I love the Delicate Wreath stamp set & had fun inking it up with Distress Inks in 2 shades of purple & 2 shades of blue.
The stamp was in my Mini MISTI so I could add some ink, spritz & stamp multiple times until I was happy.  The sentiment from the same set was stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne.  I added purple, blue & gold splatters.
Ribbon used to be on most of my cards, but now I seldom use it because of the added postage cost.  Worth it sometimes & this beautiful gold ribbon was just what the card needed.  Finished off with dots of Champagne Stickles on the wreath & a thin black mat.  I'm also entering WAW.

Fall Birthday & Christmas

I tried something new with my Altenew Tropical Fiesta watercolor markers.  First I lightly stamped the old PB Peony stamp in Versafine Vintage Sepia.  Then I colored with the markers directly on the rubber, spritzed & stamped--repeating until I was happy.  I do love adding splatters, especially to watercolored images.  Here I just used brown & gold.
I wanted to enter CAS Mix Up, so I cut my panel down, backed it with a couple pieces of cardstock & attached it to a square, kraft card.  I gold embossed the sentiment from another old PB set.
I'm hoping this counts as watercolor & that it's OK to have the image going off all 4 edges.  I like using deeper colors & kraft cards for Fall birthdays.  Hopefully my friend likes it, too.
Edited to add: Also entering PBSC.

I usually don't buy kits as I really only want some of the products.  However, I now have my first Hero Arts kit & here's my first card using it!
I stamped the 3 images using inks to go with the 2004 striped Doodlebug paper.  I had the stamps in my MISTI, so then I stamped in Versamark & embossed with HA Sparkle ep.  So pretty in person!
The dies line up easily on the stamped images.  I used TE Snowfall ef on the white rectangle mat for the house & added a couple pieces of cardstock for dimension that wouldn't require extra postage.  I added a bit of Stickles to the buttons, smoke & star.  The white embossed sentiments are in the stamp set, along with a lot of other images I can't wait to use.  I'm entering Stay Crafty with Hero Slimline Holiday via Flickr, ABNH, SSS Monday, SSS Wednesday, Christmas Kickstart & Let's Squash It.

My final card has a very non-traditional color combo:  Rose Gold & Navy.  I used SSS Poinsettia Background & colored with a blue Zig & wet brush.
The W&W Noel die cut was stacked 3 high & also embossed in the Rose Gold powder.  I tried a variety of foliage & colors, but in the end I chose the branches from SSS Christmas Foliage embossed in the Rose Gold powder.
I didn't like a blue or white edge, so I covered the edges of the card front in Versamark & embossed in Rose Gold.  I really enjoyed coloring & now I want to try using pink or red.  I'm entering SSS Monday, SSS Wednesday & Kathy's Coloring Challenge via IG.  Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.  If your blog address is in your profile or comment, I will visit you.

Two Cards & a Tag

Think our drought is about to end.  It's been raining all day, so Fritz & I just took one walk wearing our raincoats.  Boy do we have raking to do when there's a break in the weather!
I got the Memory Box Plush Maple Leaf die on clearance when I was at the craft retreat in Indiana last year.  Decided to finally use it for the Memory Box November challenge.
I found an old sheet of plaid paper & matching solid blue textured cardstock.  I die cut the leaf & the veins & inlaid it into the blue panel.  The heat embossed sentiment is from Altenew & I added a few white & brown sequins.  I'm also entering NBUSSSS WednesdayDie Cut Divas & TTTC090 using the top horizontal row.

Next is my entry for Poppystamps November challenge.  I smooshed Distress Inks in Fall colors onto a piece of watercolor paper & die cut the Freida Curve.
The die cut word from PTI Counting My Blessings was cut from glitter fun foam.  The sparkle is so pretty in person.

I mounted the die cut to a brown panel & added some gold sequins.  I'm also entering ModSquad & SSS Wednesday.

I made another tag for 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  Tracey's  Day 10 tag inspired me to get out my old Hero Arts Merry Christmas Trees stamp set.
I white embossed the trees & trimmed them out.  Then I brushed on PTI Stormy Sea, Spring Moss & Lavender Moon.  The edges of Poppystamps Tunnel Tag was brushed with Spring Moss.  Then I brushed Flitter Glue on the bottom of the tag & added Rock Candy dry glitter.
That glue is incredible!  NO glitter comes off!  I stamped the old HA sentiment in Brilliance Graphite Black & mounted the front tree with foam tape.
