Guest Designer at Twofer Card Challenge

I'm delighted to be guest designing for Twofer Card Challenge #35.  It just so happens I'm drawn to balloon images, although I don't seem to use them very often.
Some time ago, a friend passed on to me an old Neat & Tangled set called Just for You.  I had so much fun using the balloons from the set for 2 completely different cards.  In case you haven't played before, here are the card requirements.
Here's a picture of my 2 cards together.  Be sure you enter one photo of both your cards in the linky.  All the rules can be found on the challenge blog.
I began by creating the birthday card using my MISTI.  The outlines & strings were stamped in Versafine Clair Morning Mist.  The balloons were stamped in Distress Inks candied apple, abandoned coral, fossilized amber, lucky clover & mermaid lagoon.
For the sentiment I die cut MFT Block Happy Birthday.  I stacked the letters a couple high & colored each letter of "happy" with the ink matching the balloon it was attached to.  I left the word "birthday" white & attached it to a black strip.
To make it more festive, I added Stardust Stickles to each balloon--so pretty in the light.  The red mat was made by blending candied apple on the edges of a white panel.
My second card is very CAS.  I stamped the balloon without the outline 3 times in candied apple--allowing just a bit of overlapping.  Recently I saw some cards that had balloons without strings, so thought I'd give it a try.
The sentiment stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne is in a very old, unlabeled MFT set.  I added 3 tiny Gina K black heart embellishments & rounded the corners.  Decided against splatters or glitter & I do like the fresh, clean look.
I'd love to see you join the gallery for this fun challenge.  Maybe you've got an unused balloon image that needs some love!
Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.  If your blog address is in your profile or comment, I will visit you.

MFT Summer Camp & Ellen Hutson Mix Up

Hurrah--I got my last MFT Summer Camp card done!
We ended with Background Bonanza & I used the fun Tag You're It set. The images are stamped in VersaMagic Spring Pansy, Pink Grapefruit, Turquoise Gem & Mango.  The sentiment from the set is stamped in Versafine Smokey Gray & trimmed into a flag which is attached to a slightly larger gray flag.  I mounted it flat on the edge & used foam tape on the flag end. The card front is covered with spray glitter & embellished with little gems.  I'm also entering CropStop.
Print
I always try to participate in the challenges at Ellen Hutson.  Currently the Mix It Up challenge is with Neat & Tangled.
I stamped the N&T frame (3 layers) with Brilliance Starlite Black for 2 layers & Graphite Black for the top layer. The panel is cut with a Lil' Inker rectangle.  The EH Bold Blossom flower was cut from self-adhesive fun foam.  I left all the pieces in & covered the back with double sided adhesive.  Then I carefully removed the release paper from the inside pieces & covered them with Elizabeth Craft silver glitter. Then I removed the outer piece & covered it with purple glitter.
This is the first time to use 2 glitters & I love the result!  The leaves were cut from vellum, stickers make the sentiment & I added some splatters of Distress Stain Burnished Pewter. The entire panel was attached to the gray card front with fun foam.  I'm also entering SSS Monday & Twofers (I love flowers).

Hello & 4th of July

Stella's Card
Another post with 2 very different cards.  First up is another entry for CCCB who is celebrating 6 yrs with Case the Designer.  I admire Stella's clean, fresh & beautiful style.  She often uses stripes which I find so appealing & she's a sweetheart!  I was inspired to make a 4th of July card using a large & very old plastic template with a blending tool & Distress Ink festive berries.
Also used one of my first Spellbinder dies that happened to be the right size for the Peddler's Pack sentiment stamped in Brilliance Mediterranean Blue. The Tim Holtz star cut from silver glitter paper has been laying on my table since the holidays. I'm also entering CAS Mix Up.

Next is my second card using the embossing over watercolor technique. Zig markers were used for the watercolors & the floral images are Hero Arts Layering For You Flowers plus a small one from a set I can't remember.  The scalloped edges are a PPP die & this is my first time to use the Neat & Tangled Painted Hello. I heat embossed the word in white & then colored over it with COPIC RV19 to match the Zig. Finished off with some green PPP sequins.  Fun to make a CAS card with black white space!  I'm entering these challenges:  a2z Scrapbooking, ABNH, Little Tangles, Curtain Call & CASology.
