W&W and PTI

Overcast & starting to sprinkle, so who knows how many Trick or Treaters we'll get.  Seeing the little ones dressed up is fun, but poor Fritz is not happy with people coming to the door.
Before all the activity begins, I wanted to get a couple cards entered into challenges.  First is a Christmas card for Winnie & Walter Rerun No 35.  I was inspired by Crystal's holiday cards in red, green & gold.  My graphic borders were made by stamping images from Scenery: Stripes in Brilliance Pearlescent Poppy & Ivy along with Delicata Golden Glitz.
The Noel die cut was inked with the gold & covered in Nuvo Glaze.  I stamped & die cut the 2 branches from In Bloom: Frenchy's Festive Florals & added some white dots.
Finished off with gold sequins & mounted the panel with fun foam to a card with the edges sponged in the gold ink.  I'm also entering SSS Wednesday.

Next is my entry for PTI MIM Painted Brushstroke Backgrounds.  I have a few bottles of Distress Paint--not sure any have actually been used until now!  I used Fired Brick, Abandoned Coral & Wild Honey.
Instead of going to the other room to get my metallic watercolors, I brushed on some gold Wink of Stella I almost never use because it's such a bold, solid color.  It's really gorgeous as well as being so quick & easy.  When it dried I stamped the branch from Turning a New Leaf using Fired Brick Distress Ink.  That didn't cover very well, so I just dabbed on the paint & stamped a few times using my positioner--worked great!
The word from Counting my Blessings was die cut from the panel & stacked several high using scraps painted with the Fired Brick for the shadow.  It keeps the word from being too hidden.  Finished off with gold Pico Embellisher for berries.  I'm also entering SSS Wednesday.
Edited to add: Also entering Time Out thanks to Sandie.

Halloween, Christmas, Thank You

I don't send a lot of Halloween cards, but Betty sent me home with some of her darling Graphic 45 paper that I just had to use.  Betty's Parade of Haunted Homes post inspired my card using the starry side of the paper.  You've gotta check out her post--so creative!  She used a new Hero Arts die that reminded me of a very old HA stamp I have.
I simply stamped the Haunted House & black embossed the sentiment.  Finished off with shimmer spray, which I love.  Unfortunately, I had taken the house stamp out of my mini MISTI, so couldn't stamp it again to make the house a solid dark black.
I also added some Nuvo Glaze to the windows & used black Pico Embellisher for the door knob.  Tied on some black twine & popped it in the mail.  I'm entering SSS Monday & SSS Wednesday.

Next I used an image from the other side of the paper--so cute!
I didn't even do any stamping--just added some Stickles, Wink of Stella, Nuvo Glaze & a dry embossed mat.
Simple & flat for mailing.  I've got lots more of this paper, so maybe I'll send more cards next year!  I'm entering SSS Monday & SSS Wednesday.

Now on to Christmas with my entry for PTI MIM Banner-ific.  Michelle gave us the option of using a banner element on a card & that's what I did.
The base is made from PTI Mat Stack & the stamps are from one of my favorite sets--Snowflake Flurries, plus the little dots from Harvest Berries.  I used Brilliance Mediterranean Blue & Delicata Silvery Shimmer.
The dark blue mat was embossed with Taylored Expressions Snowfall folder.  I bought a yard of the beautiful plaid ribbon years ago.  Yes, I've been hoarding it--haha!  Thought it was perfect for the little loop which I sandwiched between 2 die cuts.  Luckily I had just the right blue Stickles to add some sparkle.  I'm also entering Rudolph Days.

Next are 2 new cards made with PTI Harvest Berries--another one of my favorites.
I wasn't happy with the card in the back of this photo, so it inspired my PTI Transformation Tuesday entry.
This time I stamped the larger image in the set with Canyon Clay & Summer Sunrise.  The sentiment from Lovely Leaves was stamped in Cocoa Bean & Cover Up: Diamonds was stamped in Delicata Golden Glitz.  Splatters of Canyon clay & gold sequins were added before matting the panel with Classic Kraft.  This card I like--way better balance, I think.

For the ModSquad challenge, I stamped the image along the right side of a panel using Terracotta Tile, Canyon Clay & Summer Sunrise.
The sentiment from Take 3 is stamped in Cocoa Bean along with the Winnie & Walter border image.   A brown Zig was used for splatters & I blended the Cocoa Bean on the left edge of the card front.  Finished off with SSS sequins.

PRS New Stamp Set Release and Giveaway!

Welcome to the Precious Remembrance Shop New Stamp Release Blog Hop!  The Everyday Stamp Set has wonderful background images and a great variety of sentiments.
Be sure to hop along with us for a chance to win one for yourself!  I couldn't resist using the sweet little hearts along with a couple sentiments to make an anniversary card.
To begin, I gold embossed the little hearts on a large die cut heart.  Then I used the ink from Zigs Turquoise Green & Emerald Green to do a watercolor wash with a wet brush.  After it dried, I spritzed with gold shimmer spray.
The background was made with an Intertwined Hearts embossing folder on white linen cardstock & the raised areas were lightly sponged with Delicata Golden Glitz.  The gold ink was also sponged on white cardstock & cut into mats for the sentiment strips.  I tied sheer gold ribbon in a bow & added the heart backed with fun foam.  A few gold sequins provide embellishment.

If you're going in order, you should have arrived here from Rosemary's Blog & next up is Lisa.  You can find the entire hop list and giveaway details at The Precious Remembrance Shop Blog.  The giveaway is open until October 30, 2018--good luck!  We'd love for you to like & follow PRS on Facebook & Instagram.  Enjoy the hop!

Papertrey Ink October Blog Hop Challenge

The leaves are really starting to fall, so yesterday hubby raked & I picked up the piles.  Not my favorite chore, to put it mildly, but it is nice to see the place looking all neat & tidy.  My reward was to make a card last night for the PTI Blog Hop--surprise, surprise!  It's interesting what a different look you get with the same colors depending on whether you use inks or colored cardstock.  I decided to use cardstock this time for a Fall friendship card.  The inspiration photo has somewhat muted colors, but I used brighter versions along with pumpkin images.
I love my old pumpkin embossing folder used with Orange Zest cardstock.  I sponged with Canyon clay ink for shading--hard to see in the photo.  The mat was made from Dark Chocolate cardstock, but before I attached it I cut out the word (Counting My Blessings) from the center of the panel twice.  Usually I don't think to do that, but I try to make my PTI cardstock stretch as far as possible.  As you can see, the brown word die cut was used for a shadow.  The top layer was die cut from Summer Sunrise (a nod to the gourds in the wagon), brushed with WOS & covered in Nuvo Glaze.
I had scraps of Olive Twist & Spring Moss that were big enough for the leaf from Meadow Greens & a sentiment strip from Counting My Blessings.  Both were stamped in Olive Twist & I used a gold gel pen for the leaf vein dots.  Finished off with a few gold sequins.  I have plenty of new products waiting to be used, but this card is made from well-loved old favorites.  See why I have so much trouble purging?  I love it all--haha!  I'm also entering Crafter's Castle, Fusion (just the photo), Retro Rubber (leaf & sentiment over 3 yrs old) & Time Out.

Create It Wednesday~Almost Halloween

I'm up on the PRS Blog today with a fun last minute Halloween card.  I used the adorable Beware stamp set & it's on sale right now for just $7.99.
I stamped 4 of the 9 images in black on Verve kraft die cut squares.  After seeing them glued to the white card, I decided some dimension was needed.  That was easily accomplished by adding 4 more squares on top using fun foam.
The sentiment from the same set was heat embossed & embellished with little black gems.  Time to get it in the mail!  I'm entering SSS Monday, SSS Wednesday & Die Cut Divas

Halloween Swing Tag Card

Still trying to catch up & get into a routine, but I have made it to a lot of your blogs.  I don't make many Halloween cards, but before my little trip, I noticed my old, wood mounted Memory Box Halloween stamps.  Boy did I have fun making this simple tag card!
I used Poppystamps Tunnel die for the base & a border die from MFT to cut the edge of the striped paper.  The solid pumpkins were stamped in Brilliance Pearlescent Rust which is just gorgeous in person.  The stems are Pearlescent Ivy & I splattered with the rust ink.
So fun to use my last black spider brad to hold the front & back together.  Gotta pop this in the mail.  I'm entering Outside the Box, Crafter's Castle, SSS Monday, Stamplorations Theme & Die Cut Divas.
