Few More Cards

Waited until the last minute, but did get my card finished for the April Altenew Inspiration Challenge.  I gold embossed images from Floral Frame, colored with Zigs & die cut.
I wasn't that happy with my coloring of the large flower, so covered it in Stickles.  Love the look!  The card was splattered with a purple Zig & gold watercolor.
I gold embossed the sentiment from Painted Greetings & added white sequins.  I'm also entering SSS Wednesday.
I love ink blending, so was inspired to enter the April Stay Crafty with Hero challenge.  Kristina Werner publishes lots of Distress Oxide color combos & I picked this one using saltwater taffy, faded jeans & peeled paint.
It's beautiful & perfect for nature cards.  I added to it by stamping the little butterfly from HA Thinking of You Messages in Delicata Golden Glitz.  I also spritzed heavily with gold shimmer spray & splattered white gauche.
The sentiment from the set was stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne--a deep black in person.  HA Dandelion Paper Layering die, a gift from my friend Betty, was cut from a white scrap & spritzed with shimmer spray.  I used Stamplorations circles cover plate for the mat & added 3 yellow flower gems.
Here are a couple other cards I shared on IG.  The first one was inspired by Martina, as you will know if you check her IG account.  The images are PTI.
I finally came up with a design for C9 Fresh Cut Florals 1.  The images were bigger than I expected, but worked great for a slimline card.

Birthday & Easter

I'm so grateful that PTI continues to have challenges with random drawings for gift certificates.  Here's the card I entered via IG for the challenge to create a card with multiple prints.
I used 3 of the Sweet Blush sheets a friend gave me a few years ago.  It's so pretty in person, but I can't get a good picture.  The sentiment from Simple Stems is stamped in Versafine Clair Morning Mist which is gray--not brown like it looks in the picture.  Really love Shape Shifters: Circle 3 die cut from the pretty paper.  Need to remember to do that again.  Recently a friend on IG used a Fancy Foliage Details die cut branch which reminded me to get out that set.
I used white scraps to die cut 2 of one branch & one of another.  I left out the bits that stayed on the cutting plate & brushed the branches with a shimmer pen.  Finished off with 3 Rainstones.  I'm also entering SSS Monday & Die Cut Divas.
Next is another card inspired by Martina & this time I used the sketch at FMS.  I didn't want these beautiful leftover smooshed blooms to go to waste.
The card base was stamped with images & a sentiment from PTI Prominent Petals using Weathervane, Smokey Shadow & Versafine Clair Nocturne.  I splattered Gansai Tambi gold watercolor & added the flowers after attaching them to vellum circles.
Looked through lots of embellishments & finally found these little gold glitter dots I've had forever.  They're just the right shade to add some sparkle without being overpowering.  I'll put an Easter sentiment inside.  Really love how this turned out & you'll probably see more using this design.

Peace and Friendship

It's wonderful to see so much support for the people of Ukraine expressed in cards.  If only our cards had the ability to bring peace.  Unfortunately, tyrants aren't easily swayed from their goals.  This is the 2nd blue & yellow card I've made & it's going to my first college roommate who has cousins in Western Ukraine.  Can only imagine how worried she is for their safety.
I attached the blue & yellow to a white panel & then used SSS Vine Canopy embossing folder.  It's beautiful in any color!  The EH Hexagon Frame was a leftover I had already covered in glaze.  I added gold watercolor to the ends of the SSS Etched Laurel Leaves.
The PB die cut word was stacked 2 high & covered with a shimmer pen.  Finished off with gold sequins.  I'm entering Color Hues, ModSquad & SSS Wednesday.
Here's the card I sent in February for the CCC.  Hadn't made a shaped card in awhile, so that was fun.  I used 3 ovals in the Elizabeth Craft die set & attached the 1/2 wreath die cut that was included in a previous CCC card I received from Hilary.
I added the color with Altenew wc markers & a little water.  The very old HA sentiment was silver embossed, so the mat was die cut from silver metallic paper.
You might be able to see the silver splatters in the close up & the sweet little blue gem stickers a friend sent me long ago.  I'm entering DRU, InkspirationalSSS Wednesday & WAW.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I've recently been inspired by some new to me designers.  One of my favorites is Martina.  I highly recommend checking out her work!  My entry for the PTI challenge to make a card with embossing powder was totally inspired by Martina.  I used Versafine Clair Nocturne to stamp PTI images from Watercolor Wonder, Background Basics: Geometric & Turning a New Leaf.  I also added black splatters.  Here's what it looked like when I finished.
I embossed a white scrap with JudiKins Chameleon ep I've had for many years.  Then I die cut the little bloom from PTI Into the Blooms II 7 times.  The white die cut leaves are from PTI Garden Gild.
The sentiment from PTI Prominent Petals was embossed with a clear matte ep I got years ago before my LSS closed.  The brand isn't listed on the bottle.  Finished off with Shimmer Pico Embellisher dots & added some cardstock layers for a bit of dimension.
I'm calling this a mini slimline as it's 3 1/4 x 6 1/4.  I'm also entering SSS Wednesday & WAW.
