Thank You Cards

I loved SSS Anna's Flowers the first time I saw it, so that's what I got in a sale awhile back.  Nichol's snowflake video inspired me to make this card.
Luckily, I had this 12x12 neutral script patterned paper I got quite awhile ago for 25 cents & it was perfect for the background.  I used gold & champagne pigment inks with 4 embossing powders.
SSS Painted Thanks die cut was stacked 3 high & brushed with a shimmer pen.  I finished off with SSS Mocha Java sequins.  I'm entering SSS Flickr & SSS Wednesday via IG.
My next card was also inspired by another crafter: Vicky H.  I love masking an area for ink blending & stamping.  However, I don't think I've ever done it just in a corner like Vicky did for this card--see it at the end of this post.  I used a white scrap trimmed to a 3 3/4 inch square & brushed on Distress Oxides faded jeans & speckled egg.
Then I stamped a snowflake from HA Enjoy the Seasons & a sentiment from HA Happiness Messages using the faded jeans.  The panel was heavily spritzed with Shimmer Spray--so pretty in person.
I inked the edges of a 4x4 square card with faded jeans & decided against embellishments.  I'm entering ABNHSSS Wednesday & Stamplorations CAS.

I probably won't post again this year, but I do wish all of you a safe New Year's celebration & a healthy, crafty 2021.
Thanks so much for your continued support & sweet comments.  If your blog address is in your profile or comment, I will visit you.

Cards for Hubby

Hope everyone had a safe, peaceful holiday with hope for a better 2021.  Here's the Christmas card I made for hubby using Memory Box Garden Birch Landscape stencil.
The Distress Oxides are faded jeans, broken china & rustic wilderness.  I added a touch of gray to the trees with a small, wet brush & the ink from a Zig.  I added white gauche splatters for snow & used a Gelly Roll Clear Star pen for sparkly dots.  The Memory Box Merry die cut was triple white embossed & then I added a final layer of  Hero Arts Sparkle ep.
The little sentiment from PTI Botanical Blocks IV was stamped in Enchanted Evening & attached with foam tape.  The mat is Enchanted Evening cardstock.  Hubby really liked his card & said "You should enter this one in a contest."  Just so happens I'm entering the December Memory Box Challenge: Trees & SSS Monday via IG.

Next is the Valentine I made for hubby, thanks to the ITP PTI Challenge.  I've been wanting to use ITP Nifty Plaid & thought it'd be great for a masculine card.
I stamped in Pure Poppy on a white panel that I bordered with a black scrap.  I stamped a small heart from Heart 2 Heart #2 in 3 open areas after figuring out where I wanted the word from Wonderful Words: Friends & the Love die cut.  I used some of my overflowing white scraps to die cut Love twice & then triple white embossed it for a smooth, shiny surface.  I'm also entering SSS Monday & The Snippets Playground.

Christmas Cards & Tag

I have a few more Christmas cards to share.  First is the card I entered for the ITP PTI Critter Challenge.  The only PTI critters I have are camels in one of the first sets I bought, Star of Wonder.
I stamped on Mat Stack 3 in Ripe Avocado & black.  I attached a scrap from Candy Cane Prints on a panel of Aqua Mist debossed with Tim Holtz stars folder.
Next is my entry for the December Gina K Monthly Mix.  I chose emboss resist, square, vellum from the Tic Tac Toe board.
As you've probably guessed, I have a lot of Christmas stamps.  I keep telling myself I don't need more, but just couldn't resist the gorgeous GK Festive Flowers.  I brushed DO worn lipstick over the gold embossed image.  The sentiment from the set was gold embossed on a square of vellum & I added worn lipstick on the back.  Thought I'd add gold embellishments to the flower centers, but changed my mind when I tried the pink gems--so pretty!  I'm also entering The Flower Challenge.

I was lucky enough to win a package of PFS goodies a year ago from Ivana & I'm slowly letting myself use them--haha!  Actually, I love the PFS Layered Wreath & Classic Holiday Words so much I got them.
My card for PFS December Challenge uses a Soft Stone cardstock square with dots of silver Stickles & a white square card.  I love the embellishments Ivana included in my prize package.
I used the tiny oval gem on the bow & a few pink transluscent sequins on the wreath.  I'm also entering SSS Monday.

The Poppystamps December challenge is Anything But a Card.  I decided to make a tag to go with goodies for my sweet neighbors who have 2 little kids.
Poppystamps Tunnel Tag was die cut from a scrap of red cardstock & embossed with a TH poinsettia embossing folder that also has little holly leaves.  The Memory Box Holly Ornament was die cut from white cardstock & green glitter fun foam.
The fun foam really sparkles in person, so think the kiddos will like that.  Guess I better get busy & make the goodies now!  I'm also entering DCD.  Edited to add: also entering Let's Squash It.

Wishing all of you a healthy, peaceful Christmas.  Sad not to be with family, but much sadder not to have any more holidays together because people get sick & die.  Wonderful to see people being given a Covid vaccine.  Finally there's hope for a better 2021.

A Few Cards

I've entered some challenges through IG & thought you might like to see them.  First is a Thank You card made with C&9 Turnabout Triangle.
I had never inked it up, but will again now!  Love the look of the triple white embossed SSS Painted Thanks die cut word.  I'm also entering DCD.
Next is the card I made for the ModSquad challenge to white emboss on one color of cardstock. I chose an image from Gina K A Big Hello & a sentiment from Sketched Wreath Builder.
The cardstock is PTI Weathervane--a beautiful gray.  I used Lil' Inker Stitched Rectangle & some clear Nuvo Drops.  I really love simple, elegant cards & so must Judy at ModSquad.  She chose my card as a Top Pick--hurrah!
Finally is a last minute entry for Inspired By: Happy Holly Days.  My friend, Lisa, is on the DT, but I've never entered that challenge.  I'm not very good at using photos or sketches for card inspiration.  But I love holly & the sketch, so here's my card.
I stamped Uniko Winter Foliage in PTI Vintage Jadeite & Lovely Lady.  The sentiment from Uniko Rustic Wreath was stamped in Brilliance Starlite Black.  Stardust Stickles was added to the berries, I used a Clear Star Gelly Roll pen on the holly veins & I scored a frame.  I'm also entering Uniko 'Tis the Season, Optional Twist: Sparkle.

Hope your holiday projects are coming along.  I'm still addressing envelopes, but figure people will enjoy getting a card even if it's late.  Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.  If your blog address is in your profile or comment, I will visit you.

Thank You Card

I've had these products out for about a week & finally made the card last night for the Impression Obsession Give Thanks challenge.
I absolutely love the Leafy Branch (F6046) which I stamped with my very old Encore Ultimate Metallic Honeydew ink pad.  One of the first techniques I learned & still love is to do 2nd & 3rd generation stamping, especially with foliage stamps.  I had the stamp in my MISTI so I could just move my card up 3 squares each time without reinking the stamp.  I die cut the sentiment from Greetings Top Edgers (DIE234-M) in Classic Kraft cardstock.  I added beige & honeydew splatters & finished off with clear Nuvo Drops which add a lot in person.  I'm also entering SSS Monday, SSS Wednesday & WAW.

A Couple Cards

I should be mailing cards, but it's more fun to make them--haha!  My friend, Betty, is on the TTTC DT & Challenge 092 is her first board.
I really love all the options, but in the end I went with the top, horizontal row.  I die cut SSS Birch Tree Window, brushed on Flitter Glu & covered with prisma glitter.  That is the best glue!  Almost no shedding after it dries.
The background was made with Hero Arts Reactive Ombre Winter Sky ink pad.  I spritzed with shimmer mist--so pretty in person.
The Penny Black word die was cut several times from vellum & I white embossed the Winnie & Walter sentiment.  The panels were die cut with Lil' Inker Stitched Rectangles & the top one was mounted with fun foam.  I'm also entering SSS Wednesday & WAW.
Edited to add: Also entering DCD.

Next is my card for ITP PTI Warm Wishes & ModSquad.  I white embossed PTI Take 3 Winter images & a sentiment from PTI Snowflake Flurries on a scrap of purple cardstock which is a darker more elegant shade in real life.
I tied on white crochet thread, rounded the corners & added 3 white sequins.  Love using beautiful images for a simple, flat card.  This could be a friendship or Christmas card.
