SSS, PTI, Gina K

We can go weeks leaving home only for curbside grocery pick ups.  Kinda strange that all 3 of us ended up with appointments yesterday.  Hubby got a haircut--first client of the day, Fritz had an annual chest x-ray to follow his heart murmur & I had a steroid injection in my hip.  Whew--normal life--haha!  Also good news--the ruptured sebaceous cyst Fritz had healed up just fine, so no surgery!
On to my cards before the challenges end.
First is a floral card in Fall colors--not a leaf to be found!
Love SSS Anna's Flowers in any colors, but here I used Distress Oxides fossilized amber, spiced marmalade, abandoned coral & peeled paint.  The SSS sentiment die was cut from gold cardstock (inexpensive from Michaels & I love it!) & white cardstock scraps to stack it for some dimension.
I used some soft gold gems from my stash for just a bit of sparkle.  I entered SSS Wednesday & SSS Flickr.
My card for the PTI challenge to use a vellum accent reverts back to a design from when I started stamping, but I still love the look.
I started by stamping a branch from Turning a New Leaf in Simply Chartreuse & Ripe Avocado on a vanilla card.  Using the darker ink on the ends of the leaves doesn't really show since most of the stamping is covered with the vellum which I attached with a scrap of matching ribbon.
PTI Wonderful Words: Hello was die cut from champagne glitter Fun Foam.  The beautiful Champagne Lucy's Little Things were the perfect embellishment.  I'm also entering SSS MondaySSS Wednesday.

My 3rd card mini slimline card was made for Just Us Girls & ModSquad.  Gina K's Holiday Tapestry stamp set is a beauty & I realized the images don't have to be for the holidays.
Here I embossed with a beautiful old powder called Pewter.  It has a bit of glitter in it which is beautiful in person.  Love how it looks on the PTI Soft Stone panel.  The sentiment is from the Gina K set called Winter Hugs.  I was lucky to find it for a fraction of the original cost from a stamper purging her stash.  It included the dies & had never been used!
Love that it has sentiments for all year.  I added a black strip & 6 black sequins.  So honored that GKD actually noticed this card on IG & showed it in her stories.  I'm also entering SSS Monday & SSS Wednesday.

Christmas Cards & Tag

I have a few more Christmas cards to share.  First is the card I entered for the ITP PTI Critter Challenge.  The only PTI critters I have are camels in one of the first sets I bought, Star of Wonder.
I stamped on Mat Stack 3 in Ripe Avocado & black.  I attached a scrap from Candy Cane Prints on a panel of Aqua Mist debossed with Tim Holtz stars folder.
Next is my entry for the December Gina K Monthly Mix.  I chose emboss resist, square, vellum from the Tic Tac Toe board.
As you've probably guessed, I have a lot of Christmas stamps.  I keep telling myself I don't need more, but just couldn't resist the gorgeous GK Festive Flowers.  I brushed DO worn lipstick over the gold embossed image.  The sentiment from the set was gold embossed on a square of vellum & I added worn lipstick on the back.  Thought I'd add gold embellishments to the flower centers, but changed my mind when I tried the pink gems--so pretty!  I'm also entering The Flower Challenge.

I was lucky enough to win a package of PFS goodies a year ago from Ivana & I'm slowly letting myself use them--haha!  Actually, I love the PFS Layered Wreath & Classic Holiday Words so much I got them.
My card for PFS December Challenge uses a Soft Stone cardstock square with dots of silver Stickles & a white square card.  I love the embellishments Ivana included in my prize package.
I used the tiny oval gem on the bow & a few pink transluscent sequins on the wreath.  I'm also entering SSS Monday.

The Poppystamps December challenge is Anything But a Card.  I decided to make a tag to go with goodies for my sweet neighbors who have 2 little kids.
Poppystamps Tunnel Tag was die cut from a scrap of red cardstock & embossed with a TH poinsettia embossing folder that also has little holly leaves.  The Memory Box Holly Ornament was die cut from white cardstock & green glitter fun foam.
The fun foam really sparkles in person, so think the kiddos will like that.  Guess I better get busy & make the goodies now!  I'm also entering DCD.  Edited to add: also entering Let's Squash It.

Wishing all of you a healthy, peaceful Christmas.  Sad not to be with family, but much sadder not to have any more holidays together because people get sick & die.  Wonderful to see people being given a Covid vaccine.  Finally there's hope for a better 2021.

Two Cards & a Tag

Think our drought is about to end.  It's been raining all day, so Fritz & I just took one walk wearing our raincoats.  Boy do we have raking to do when there's a break in the weather!
I got the Memory Box Plush Maple Leaf die on clearance when I was at the craft retreat in Indiana last year.  Decided to finally use it for the Memory Box November challenge.
I found an old sheet of plaid paper & matching solid blue textured cardstock.  I die cut the leaf & the veins & inlaid it into the blue panel.  The heat embossed sentiment is from Altenew & I added a few white & brown sequins.  I'm also entering NBUSSSS WednesdayDie Cut Divas & TTTC090 using the top horizontal row.

Next is my entry for Poppystamps November challenge.  I smooshed Distress Inks in Fall colors onto a piece of watercolor paper & die cut the Freida Curve.
The die cut word from PTI Counting My Blessings was cut from glitter fun foam.  The sparkle is so pretty in person.

I mounted the die cut to a brown panel & added some gold sequins.  I'm also entering ModSquad & SSS Wednesday.

I made another tag for 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  Tracey's  Day 10 tag inspired me to get out my old Hero Arts Merry Christmas Trees stamp set.
I white embossed the trees & trimmed them out.  Then I brushed on PTI Stormy Sea, Spring Moss & Lavender Moon.  The edges of Poppystamps Tunnel Tag was brushed with Spring Moss.  Then I brushed Flitter Glue on the bottom of the tag & added Rock Candy dry glitter.
That glue is incredible!  NO glitter comes off!  I stamped the old HA sentiment in Brilliance Graphite Black & mounted the front tree with foam tape.

Thanksgiving & Christmas

I already made an Autumn card with the PFS Hello with a Bouquet die, so pulled out the Dainty Blossoms die set to make this card for the PFS October Challenge
I still had the plaid paper out from a previous card & wanted to finally use the EH Hex Frames I won when they were released.  The sentiment from PFS Delicate Wreath was stamped in Versafine Clair Acorn on the brown textured card front.  I really like these SSS brown sequins as they add some bling without detracting from the focal point.  I'm also entering COF where my friend, Cat, is the GD.

You probably know I love pink, so no surprise I made an entry for the October Poppystamps Think Pink challenge.  The beautiful Twirly Whirly Tree was a gift a long time ago & finally I used it.  Haven't made a shaker in ages & love how this turned out.
I only used 1 layer of foam tape to keep it from being too thick.  I really wanted the shaker mix mostly for sparkle, so I just used Stampendous Shaved Ice & seed beads which worked great.
The PFS sentiment is die cut from vellum & silver glitter tape.  Pink, gray & silver--love that combo!  I'm also entering WAW.

Stamplorations Belated 7th anniversary celebration has lots of ways to win.  One of them is to post a picture of your Stamplorations stash.  I have a variety of stencils, stamps & dies.
Some of these goodies are yet to be used, but now I can cross the Peace, Love, Joy phrase die off the list!
Glitter cardstock can be pretty expensive, but glitter fun foam is really cheap!  The gold one isn't my favorite shade, so instead I bought the bronze which is really beautiful!
I dry embossed a green panel with the Richard Garay Lumberjack Days ef & colored a little wooden star with a red Copic to match the card front.  Simple card, but I love it!  I'm entering the 7th Birthday Linky Party since Christmas is the celebration of Christ's birth.
