Happy Autumn

I love Fall & all the beautiful cards with Fall colors & images.  This week The Kraft Journal gives us a choice of Halloween or Harvest Festival. I have a couple beautiful old wood mounted stamps with a harvest theme that work great stamped in Versamark & then brushed with PearlEx giving a lovely shimmer.  This stamp is from a company no longer in business. Unfortunately, I didn't get my post written in time to enter the challenge.
I probably make a card like this every year, so wanted to come up with something a little different.  After piercing a row of holes from the back across the top & bottom I sponged on Distress Ink tea dye.  Then I added Candi embellishments to the rounded corners & mounted the panel to black cardstock.  Think this will be a good card for my brother & sister-in-law.  I'm entering the Autumn challenges at SSS Monday & Time Out Challenges. Thanks so much for taking time to visit my blog.

Party Time

Blog-hop-inspirationI always try to participate in the monthly PTI Blog Hops.  My tilted elements are the background diamonds & the little tag.  I stamped an old bg stamp I'd forgotten about in Versamark ink & then rubbed on brown chalk & inked the edges with Distress Ink tea dye.  A strip of burlap was attached with some threads (also at an angle) removed from each end. The flower from Rosie Posie is stamped in Versamark & then rubbed with Pearl Ex Salmon Pink.  Then I stamped the image from RP Step 2 & rubbed it with Pearl Ex Brilliant Yellow.  The same method is used for the center of the flower.  The stem is done with Pearl Ex Spring Green.  Spellbinders Labels 18 was just the right shape.  The little tag & sentiment are from Tiny Tags, which I'd never inked.  The flower & background panel are mounted with foam tape.  I'm entering this card into PTI MIMDie Cut Divas & Passion for Papertrey challenges.  Back to work today, but I'll be checking everyone's cards soon.  Enjoy the hop!
