Friendship and Sympathy

The Altenew April Inspiration Challenge is about to close.  I've seen a lot of embossed black out cards lately.  Two of the designers are Barbara Tarayao and Karen Dunbrook.  Decided to give the technique a try using Altenew's Floral Acanthus embossing folder.
I colored the images on the debossed side using a small blending brush and Distress Inks fired brick, dried marigold and weathered wood.  Have to say, I love those colors together!  Then I used my Versafine Clair Nocturne ink pad to cover the panel.  I love how there's a bit of the black on the images that gives them more definition.  Almost forgot the white splatters and they really do step it up. I used black glossy cardstock for the mat and Altenew's Fancy Hello.  Finished with black enamel dots.  Now I'm anxious to try more folders and different color combos.  I'm also entering SSS Wednesday.
I needed 2 sympathy cards for sisters who lost their nephew to colon cancer.  I prefer simple cards to send condolences and usually use nature images.
My stencils from The Greetery have been waiting to be used and made the perfect background for the silhouette image from The Cat's Pajamas.  The stenciling was done with Brilliance Pearlescent Ice Blue and the silhouette was stamped in PTI Weathervane.  I used Versafine Morning Mist for the sentiment from PTI Wildflower Garden.  I used MFT rectangle dies to cut the Weathervane and white panels.

Happy Easter Card

Hope everyone is staying safe & sane!  I seem to be moving in slow gear, but have made more Easter projects.  Unfortunately, I'm having a terrible time getting good pictures.  The colors are blah in spite of being quite vivid in person.  At least one card looks pretty good, so I'll show you that one.
I cancelled my Spellbinders Small Die of the Month club at the end of 2019.  However, I absolutely loved the February 2020 kit, so I signed up again.  Naturally, it's still unused--haha!  But the March kit has adorable bunnies & I die cut one of them for the TPC Tuesday Challenge: Furry Animals.  The greenery from TCP Simple Blooms was inked in Brilliance Pearlescent Lime, Thyme & Ivy.  The sentiment is from an old TPC Studio set & the embossing folder is by Darice.  I'm also entering SSS WednesdayAllsorts & DCD.  Hopefully I'll get some better pictures & post my other projects soon.

3 New Cards & a Fix

Still lots of products in my sale pages.

I was about to put away the Valentine I made for next year.  It hit me that it didn't look finished, so I fixed it!  Here's the picture I posted a few days ago.
It's smaller than A2, so all I had to do was use a black A2 mat.  Now it looks ready to mail & this picture has more accurate color.
Now for my new cards, starting with an entry for the Uniko 8th BD Celebration.  I love the beautifully modern poinsettia in the Uniko Season of Beauty set.  It can also be a beautiful flower for any season.
I stamped the bold image in Brilliance Pearlescent Lavender & the outline image (purposely not lined up) in Versafine Clair Morning Mist & Delicata Silvery Shimmer.  The flower centers & the sentiment from Altenew Floral Frame were stamped in Morning Mist.  I just stamped the sentiment 3 times to make it a bit darker.  Finished off with gray & lavender splatters.  I'm also entering SSS Wednesday & Time Out.

I love silhouette images, so I used my TCP gc to get Simple Blooms which is no longer available.  The TPC Tuesday Challenge is to use stencils.
I used a brick one by Magenta with DI pumice stone.  The images were stamped in Delicata Emerald Green & the sentiment from the same set was stamped in Versafine Clair Morning Mist.  I used a PTI die & Weathervane cardstock to make the frame.  Finished off with silver glitter Nuvo Drops.  I'm also entering SSS Monday

Finally is my entry for SSS Flickr, SSS Wednesday & Flickr Love Handmade Cards.  I used DI tattered rose & peeled paint with the SSS Bouquet of Roses Stencil.  Next I spread white Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel--such gorgeous sparkle!
The colors are soft, but very apparent in person.  I silver embossed the sentiment from SSS Thoughtful Messages.
