Sending wishes to everyone for joy & peace in 2020.  We're spending the holiday at home--nice & quiet, as usual!  Here's my last minute entry for the IO Challenge: Quick & Easy Holiday Cards. 

I silver embossed IO Crochet Snowflake 2 (E13064) on a medium blue cardstock.  Actually, I first used a sparkle ep that came out too dark, so I reinked & used silver ep on top.  It worked perfectly & in person you can actually see some sparkle. 

Love the beautiful font of IO Merry Bright & Cozy (D8307) which was embossed with the same silver ep.  I splattered Distress Stain brushed pewter for a beautiful "snowy" background.  Rather than take a chance on messing up the stamped panel, I silver embossed the edges of the card front.  Finished off with a very old blue RainDot which isn't high enough to require extra postage.

Christmas Cards for next year!

As most of you know, I make Christmas cards all year.  When it's time to mail cards, I always find some that I'm just not happy with.  Don't think that will happen with these as I love both looks.
A recent sale got me to buy the green & red C&9 Foil paper pack.  Now I'm wishing I'd bought 2!  It is absolutely gorgeous & cuts beautifully. 

The HA Layering Poinsettia is beautiful no matter what paper is used, but this is one of my favorites.  I used C&9 silver glitter cardstock for the center & the MFT word die.  The glitter cardstock cuts great & has gorgeous sparkle.  I bought the HA Bold Graphic Confetti die because I saw it used for a monochromatic background.  This time I used 2 layers since I got liquid glue that doesn't dry clear on the first one.  Actually, I like it better with a bit more dimension, so that worked out.  Will probably have to give this to a local friend since I used foam tape to layer the poinsettia.  I'm entering ABNH & Christmas Kickstart.

Still hard to believe I was the lucky winner of Uniko's fabulous December release.  Here's my first card & entry for the Uniko Christmas Party. 

The branch from Winter Foliage & sentiment from Season of Beauty were stamped a couple times in Altenew Forest Glades & Ruby Red.  I die cut the SSS thin frame from the panel & from C&9 silver Glitter paper so I could inlay the glittery frame.  I used black cardstock for the mat & added 3 black Pico Embellisher dots.  I'm also entering Virginia's Show & Share.

Merry Christmas

Wishing all of you a blessed Christmas and a year of peace & joy.  Started my day on Christmas Eve having breakfast with a friend & then spent a quiet day with hubby & Fritz.  Here are 3 more cards--Christmas & Thank You.
First up is truly a snippets card which I'm entering at The Snippets Playground.  I had a few little strips of LF plaid paper left over from a project & just couldn't throw them out.  I saw a card using this Stamplorations stencil & it inspired me to make a funky, graphic Christmas tree.

I watercolored a scrap with a brown Zig for the trunk & added a star gem from my stash.  The Stickles covered die cut word is W&W & the mat is dark brown.  Fun & different for me!  I'm also entering Christmas Kickstart & Inkspirational.

Next is another entry for the Pinkfresh December challenge, if more than 1 is allowed.  Again I used the PF Delicate Wreath stamp set, but this time I made a Christmas thank you card.

The inks are Altenew & the sentiment is from the same set.  The little dots are Christmas Red Stickles & I added some tiny green splatters.  I'm also entering the CAS on Friday DT call.

My second thank you card is my entry for the Altenew Year in Review Challenge.  I missed the November challenge with beautiful pinks & green, so that was my inspiration.  I also wanted to use the stamp/die set I recently got with a gc--Floral Frame.

The branches were stamped in PTI Ripe Avocado & colored with Prima Confections green watercolor.  I white embossed the bouquet & mixed Prima Confections watercolors to get as close as I could to the pinks in the photo.  The sentiment from the set was stamped in Versafine Clair Acorn & I added brown splatters with a Zig.  I don't use a lot of foam tape these days, but did use it to add the die cut bouquet.  Decided against embellishments & just added Star Dust Stickles to the little berries.  Think this set was a good choice--so pretty & versatile.  I'm also entering Allsorts & WAW.

Three More Cards

I don't use many tags, so I turned one from Tracey's event into a card.  As you can see, I made the Pinkfresh Delicate Wreath into an ornament on a dry embossed panel.

I just added a gold embossed sentiment strip.  You can't tell from the picture, but the little dots are gold Stickles.
The PF wreath is already one of my favorite stamps.  Here's the card we gave our groomer with a plate of pumpkin cookies.

I can't seem to get decent pictures these days, but the little dots are red Stickles.  The PTI sentiment was stamped in Altenew Ruby Red & I used a white gel pen for the dots.  I'm entering the December Pinkfresh challenge, ModSquad & Stamping Sensations.

The next card was a last minute entry for Impression Obsession Let it Snow using IO dies DIE027-P & DIE080-N.

I entered the challenge from Flickr yesterday afternoon, but without a sentiment.  Today I realized my little gold alpha stickers were just what it needed, so I added the word & took new photos.

The trees & deer were colored with DI & all the sparkle is from Diamond Dust.  The deer were covered in Nuvo Glaze.  I'm entering Christmas Kickstart & DRU.
Edited to add: Also entering Virginia's Show & Share.  This is my first card using Diamond Dust.

Christmas & Birthday

Still lots of goodies, so check out my sale pages.  Leave me a comment if you want anything. 

Having trouble getting blog posts written.  I can see why people like using IG--everything is faster.  Just doesn't give you the same connection with people--at least not to me.  Here are some cards from IG & others never posted that I thought you might like to see.
First is hubby's December BD card which I made with The Stamp Market Dotted Tree die set.  I was thrilled to be able to get it with the gift certificate I won. 

If I was just getting started in this hobby, my house would be full of products from TSM!  Fun to use a piece of a very old soft, green, metallic cardstock.  It reminds me of hubby's favorite Porsche color which he calls Champagne Green.  Of course he asked me why I didn't get him the car--haha!  I used a tiny dauber to add the dots of Versafine Clair Acorn.  Love being able to use one my wooden stars without worrying about postage.  The very old Paula Best sentiment fit perfectly & I added a little gloss to the star.  I'm entering Virginia's Show & Share & SSS Monday.

When I die cut the tree, I didn't think about leaving margins so I could use the negative space.  But I had an idea for a card, so I cut it again.

This time I used a darker green cardstock & backed the negative space with a beautiful champagne glitter cardstock.  The picture doesn't do it justice.  The very old PrintWorks sentiment was stamped on a double vellum strip made from a scrap.  I'm entering Die Cut Divas.

When I start signing Christmas cards I always find some in my stash I don't really like or they have too much dimension.  Stephanie's MFT video inspired me to make a few quick, flat cards. 

I used a PB snowflake set that was part of a prize from Virginia quite awhile ago.  The inks are VersaMagic Night Sky & Aegean Blue.  The sentiment is Altenew Mini Christmas I got after Christmas last year.  I'm entering Stamping Sensations.

Traditional Christmas Colors

Lots to do this time of year including cards to sign & mail.  That meant I didn't make my card for ITP Joy of Cardmaking--Intricate Cards until late Friday night after watching our Ducks win the Pac 12 Championship.

PTI Shape Shifters Oval #3 is intricate & I'd never used it, so that's where I started.  I had red & green scraps for a traditional Christmas card.  The sentiment from PTI Bold Borders Yuletide was brushed with shimmer & covered with Nuvo Glaze.  Thought the card needed something else, but I was too tired to figure it out that night.  Today I decided just a couple IO pine branches die cut from the same strip of green paper would finish it off.  They were brushed with shimmer & the ends tucked into an opening in the frame.  Now it's ready to send.  I'm also entering The Snippets Playground, SSS Monday, SSS Wednesday, DCD & Time Out.
