Christmas Twofer

I missed the last Christmas Kickstart challenge, so this time I didn't put off making my entry.  The theme is Christmas Tree & there's a twist.  Darnell is the Guest Elf, so we're asked to make a Twofer.  That means you use the same tree product for 2 different card designs.  My fun tree is from SSS Color Me Trees.
The first card is my second attempt using Altenew Watercolor markers.  I white embossed the tree image 3 times, slightly curving the bottom edge on a wc panel.  Then I colored the trees with a green marker by adding color to the tree centers & pulling it to the edges with a small wet brush.
I added color until I was happy with the result.  Then it was time for the background--so scary!  I used light & dark blue markers with water.  When it was dry I added splatters of white gesso thinned with water & shimmer spritz.  I used Stampendous Shaved Ice & some prisma glitter for the snow.
Don't think I've ever used this sentiment from the 2013 Penny Black set called yuletide greetings, but I love it--here embossed in silver.  With the snow so sparkly, I decided to add shimmer to the trees with a pen--really pretty in person.  I'm also entering SSS Flickr 128, ModSquadRetro Rubber & SSS Wednesday.

For the second card I white embossed the tree on a white panel which I then covered with Distress Inks barn door & festive berries.  I used a dauber & white ink with the SSS Zig Zag Dots stencil for the background.
SSS Holiday Frames was die cut from gray cardstock & a couple die cut IO snowflakes were brushed with a red shimmer pen.  The tree was brushed with a shimmer pen & covered with Nuvo Glaze.  A gray gem was added to the stacked snowflakes which I mounted with foam tape to the corner of the frame.  I'm also entering SSS Flickr 128, SSS MondaySSS Wednesday.

Friendship, Christmas, Easter

Almost the end of the month which means some challenges are about to close, so I made 3 cards.
First is my second entry for the Pinkfresh July Challenge.  I only have 1 PF die right now which I used for last month's challenge & for my first July entry.  This time I wanted to make something very different by only using the letters from Hello with a Bouquet.
I started by white heat embossing the geometric image from the PF Felicity stamp set.  Then I mixed Color Burst powders Ultramarine Blue & Pthalo Green with water & a drop of Liquid Pixie Dust.  I used a flat brush to paint over the embossing, alternating stripes of color.  I die cut the letters & mounted them with foam tape to a circle I stamped with with other images in the stamp set using VersaMagic Pink Petunia.
I sponged a little of the ink around the edge & added clear confetti.  Fun to make a circle card for a change.  I'm also entering SSS Monday & WAW.
Word Art Wednesday
Next is my first card made with Ellen Hutson Mondo Holly & Altenew watercolor markers.
I can't wait to try the markers again.  The embossing powder is SSS Rose Gold & the sentiment is from the same stamp set.  I added splatters with Tsukineko Rose Gold Shimmer Spritz & Altenew Black ink spray.  I'm entering Rudolph Days & SSS IG Challenge.
Last is my entry for the July Poppystamps challenge.  The only PS animal product I have is the Serene Rabbit die, so I decided to make an Easter card.
I die cut PS Happy Easter Curve from the card front & inlaid the words.  Lawn Fawn plaid paper was attached to show in the open areas & the same paper was used for the rabbit.  I also die cut the rabbit from fun foam so it would stand out a bit more & brushed it with a shimmer pen.  The dots are Wedding Dress Pico Embellisher drops & I added a tiny black gem for the eye.

Hello times 2

SSS has another new release & this one has a lot of things that appeal to me.  However, I hadn't used the darling Peeking Daisy die that was in my last order.  Decided to remedy that & here's my card.
I intended to use the panel with 3 positive daisy die cuts, but messed it up.  So I changed plans & covered each of the negative circles with a shimmer pen & Nuvo Glaze.  Then I cut 3 squares of beautiful DCWV glitter paper for mats.
I arranged the squares on a gray panel & stamped the sentiment from SSS Hello Friends.  To finish off, I added a black gem to the center of each flower.  Now for the rest of my unused stash to make an appearance on a card--haha!  I'm entering SSS Flickr 128 & ModSquad.
Modsquad Challenge
I hadn't made a rainbow card or used my Distress Oxides in quite awhile, so that's how my next card started.  The colors I used are candied apple, spiced marmalade, fossilized amber, lucky clover, faded jeans & wilted violet.
I die cut Pinkfresh Hello with a Bouquet, inlaid the outline into the panel & attached it to a black mat.  I die cut the letters again from black fun foam so they would have dimension.
The little word was made with TH stickers & I added shimmer Pico Embellisher dots.  I'm entering Pinkfresh July Challenge, WAW & Virginia's Show & Share.

Twofers & ITP

One of my good blogging friends, Cat, is now a member of the Twofer Card Challenge DT.  They are lucky to have her!  Just had to play along this time, especially with a garden theme.  I went old school & pulled out some wood mounted stamps.  The stamp both cards have in common is HA Wild Flowers.
Cat's favorite color is yellow, so for my first card I brushed a masked area with squeezed lemonade, scattered straw & fossilized amber Distress Inks.  Then I stamped Wild Flowers in Versafine Clair Pinecone along with the sentiment from Altenew Painted Greetings.
I splattered with the fossilized amber & used yellow cardstock for the mat.  I'm also entering WAW.
For my second card I stamped Wild Flowers in Brilliance Pearlescent Ivy to nearly cover a white cardstock panel.  I filled in the empty spaces with 3 little flowers from the very old HA set called Pocketfull o' Posies.
I used a Spellbinder oval die to cut the window & temporarily attached it to the card front so I could stamp the very old, wood mounted Stamp Francisco birthday sentiment using Versafine Clair Acorn.  Then I added fun foam to the panel & glued it in place.  A few Wedding Dress Pico Embellisher dots finish it off.  I'm also entering DRU & SSS Wednesday.

It's still time for Christmas in July, so my entry for ITP LFF is a Christmas card.  I loved Laurie's Day 4 release card with the coverplate & card the same color, so that's the one I cased.  I die cut PTI Bold Borders: Yuletide 3 times so it would stand out on the card.  Since it's a Christmas card, I decided to heat emboss with HA Sparkle ep--so beautiful in person.
I die cut a Spellbinders oval from Pure Poppy cardstock & attached it with fun foam in the center.  I've barely used PTI Splits:  'Tis the Season & it was just what I needed.  The image was stamped in Pinefeather & the sentiment in Pure Poppy.  The berries were covered in Christmas Red Stickles & the flames & holly in Star Dust Stickles.  The Stickles mixed with the ink to add just a bit of color to the holly.
I backed the die cut with an extra layer which gave it a little dimension.  This kind of card I only make way ahead.  The closer it gets to Christmas I tend to skip die cutting & just stamp cards in the interest of time.  I'm also entering VOSP in July.

MFT Camp Create

Warning--long post!  MFT Camp Create is always fun & I've made 4 cards.

Day 1: Wonderful Watercolor
The background was made with Color Burst powders Ultramarine Blue & Pthalo Green mixed with water & applied to watercolor paper with a flat brush.  I also splattered both colors & die cut the panel with MFT In & Out Stitched Rounded Squares.  The panel was inlaid into a gray square.  MFT Peaceful Wildflowers were stamped in Versafine Claire Morning Mist, heat embossed in JudiKins Iridescent Sparkle powder & die cut.  The sparkle is beautiful in person.
I arranged the bouquet & added a silver floss bow before attaching it to the panel & stamping the sentiment from the same set.  I'm also entering MFT Birthday ChallengeCountry View ChallengesDRU & SSS Wednesday.

Day 2: Remarkable Resist
I love emboss resist, but wanted to do something a little different.  I white embossed MFT Geometric Grid Background leaving some areas not completely stamped.  I taped the 2 MFT retired Chevron dies together & die cut multiple times until the entire panel was cut.  Didn't realize when I started, by taping the 2 dies together I also got a 3rd very thin chevron with each pass.  I kept all the die cuts in order on a piece of masking paper & then blended Distress Inks as close as I could get to the MFT Color Challenge, attaching them to a kraft panel as I went.
The gold foiled sentiment was done with MFT retired letter dies cut from adhesive backed fun foam & I added gold sequins filled with gold Stickles.  I'm also entering SSS WIW.

Day 3: Spectacular Shakers
Fun to use the MFT circle pouches to make a shaker--no foam tape required.  The card front was blended with Distress Inks victorian velvet, seedless preserves & aged mahogany & the shaker was backed with a black cardstock scrap.  More retired products used for this card:  Dizzy Doily die & On The Line sentiment.  To make it more festive, I heat embossed the doily with JudiKins Diamond Sparkle powder--so beautiful in person.
I found a little unlabeled bag of just the right sequins in my stash & couldn't resist adding some black splatters.  I'm also entering Double D & WAW.

Day 5:  Glitzy Glitter
You knew there'd be a Christmas card eventually, right?!  I had fun using MFT Christmas Tree Window die, a prize I won at The Snippets Playground.  I used DCWV glitter paper--hard to die cut, but very pretty sparkle.
The pink was a scrap--just the right size.  The black frame is MFT Stitched Oval Scallop Frames, the sentiment is from MFT Trim the Tree & I added black splatters & clear gems.  I'm also entering ModSquad.
