I am thrilled to let you know that I am now a member of the Penny Black Saturday Challenge DT! Penny Black was one of the first companies I was introduced to & loved when I began stamping over 15 years ago. The October challenge is Halloween or Halloween colors. I thought it'd be fun to make an October birthday card. The PB tree stamp (splendor) has always been one of my favorites, but I hadn't used it for awhile. This time I decided to watercolor my embossed image instead of sponging on the inks. I used Distress Ink spiced marmalade, dusty concord & peeled paint. I really love the sentiment (from the set: every happiness) & that it has 2 fonts. Even though it's small it stamps beautifully and I didn't have to use detail embossing powder. For lots of inspiration, check out the wonderful creations my teammates made & I'd love for you to play along this month! Thanks so much for visiting my blog & brightening my day.

My First Design Team!

ReplyDeleteI am so very pleased for you, PB I agree have wonderful stamps, and you have designed this card beautifully with the watercolour Bg. Their stamps are so versatile.
I know you will enjoy being on this Dt and you will surprise yourself how much you learn from everyone.....not just your fellow teamies but also the creators who enter the Challenges, there is so much talent out there just waiting to be spotlighted. You will meet many new people which will only serve to broaden your horizons. One little bit of advice that I will offer...take it with a pinch of salt. ' Do not stay too long!' New faces /designers on a Team are not just inspiring but also refreshing. Have fun you will do them proud.

Sorry I've been MIA, we moved this summer, downsized to the city from the country, which was a lot of work. Our 15 year old fur girl got very sick and went to kitty heaven peacefully recently.
