I didn't expect to use the PTI MIM challenge for hubby's anniversary card, but that's what happened. Vikki's card reminded me that my friend, Cat, sent me several cuts of that PTI die set.
I began by sponging the white die cut with Distress Ink frayed burlap--darkest on the outside edges. Then I looked through my glitters & found a very old jar of one called Foxfire which is black, green, copper & gold--perfect for Fall cards, but couldn't get a good picture. I decided it's really not a girly look at all & the tree frame is perfect for hubby as he's always loved the outdoors.
The PTI love die is one of my favorites, so I cut several from black cardstock & covered the top one with Nuvo Glaze. Alpha stickers finished the sentiment & everything is attached to a black panel. Think hubby will like this one & it's ready 2 days early! I'm also entering SSS Wednesday.

I made several cards in 2015 using the large Memory Box heart die. After seeing the recent PTI post focused on Ombre Builders, thought I'd redo one of those cards for PTI Transformation Tuesday.
I actually put Ombre Builders on my sale page, but had so much fun making this card I may take it off.
My sister likes blue, her husband likes green & they both like silver. I stamped a white panel alternating New Leaf & Blueberry Sky. Then I used the lines image with Delicata Silvery Shimmer to sort of make a plaid design--hard to see, but really pretty in real life. I used the Nuvo Glaze on the white die cut love & stamped the coordinating sentiment from Flourishes in the Silvery Shimmer. The mat is silver metallic paper & I used foam tape to mount it to the card. Decided a few clear sequins added just the right touch. Their anniversary isn't until next month, so I'm really ahead of the game for a change--haha!

Take care if you're in the bad weather. It's absolutely gorgeous here & we're enjoying a quiet holiday weekend. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.
Ooh, this is dramatic! Wish that glitter color showed up better cuz it sounds pretty snazzy! I've had the M&M Plaid die for a few months and finally remembered to use it. Happy anniversary! We returned this evening to clear skies which after driving through northern CA with burned hillsides around Redding and thick smoke was a relief to breathe freely.
ReplyDeletePS The second "Love" card is very clever! What adhesive do you use on die cuts? Just wondering as I go between liquid glue and spray adhesives.
