Gradient Watercolor Die Cuts

Every week I look forward to the PTI MIM video & challenge.  This week's video is one of my favorites--just love Dawn's cards!  She's actually to blame for me breaking down & getting the Zig wc markers last year--haha!  I usually try to do something a little different than the video, but this week I copied Dawn except that I don't have the same coverplate die & instead used the PTI hexagon.
Making cards is always enjoyable to me, but oh my goodness--this was just pure fun!  I did 2 panels in different colors, so I'll have more cards soon.  The die cut word from Counting My Blessings is stacked 3 high allowing a white shadow.  The top layer is heat embossed with JudiKins Diamond Sparkle which I haven't used in years, but will again soon as it's beautiful. The sentiment from the same set is white embossed on a strip of PTI Smokey Shadow which is also used for the card. Finished off with some PPP Sparkling Clear sequins.  I'm also entering CAS Mix Up & Die Cut Divas. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.

  1. Wow what an eye catching card, love love the colours you have used in your watercolouring. In the photo it looks like looking into water and the colours change due to shadows in the water. Even the top colours look as though they are connected to the bottom. The sentiment with the glitter is a perfect finish to the card. Ohhh I dream of making watercolour that looks like this.

  31. This is way cool. I like shapes on a card in a grid and hexagons are just too nifty. I'm impressed with your ability to emboss fiddly things like words! Woo hoo!

  33. Some cool ombre shading on these spring hexagon colors. Was this embossing paste colored with the Zigs, or did you create the background, then die cut with a hexagon shape? However you did this, it's gorgeous...Thanks for reminding about the Judikins Diamonds...I seldom use it and it does shimmer nicely. Love the bold die sparkle with the stamped sentiment. Great card, Greta. Love it! TFS
