In college, I was the one in the closet typing my term paper the night before it was due--haha! So guess it's not surprising I have 2 cards today for challenges about to close.
First is my entry for a2z Scrapbooking. I loved a video using the HA Color Layering For You Flowers set & just had to get it. Thought the pretty leaves done in soft colors would make a lovely get-well card. The inks are PTI Limeade Ice & Lemon Tart along with white embossed over-stamping. Not sure I've ever used this beautiful sentiment from the old HA Special Note of Thanks set which I stamped in Brilliance Pearlescent Chocolate with my Mini MISTI to get the coverage I wanted. The trim is attached to a cardstock strip & extends on each side for a little interest. Finished off with PPP marshallow sequins. I'm also entering Word Art Wednesday.
Next is my entry for Ellen Hutson's Pin-Sights challenge. I was inspired by the pink & peach flowers as well as the gold & individual words. Still have the fun foam stamps I made from EH Bold Blossoms so I used the small flower & leaf to stamp a panel & added some splatters.
My ink shades were pretty bright, so I softened them with a vellum panel. The die cut word is from Verve's Amazing Adjectives & "friend" is done with clear stickers. Finished off with white coated thread tied in a bow & embellished with a pearl. I'm also entering SSS Wednesday & Time Out. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.
Beautiful cards! Thanks for joining the fun at a2z!

ReplyDeleteWell done for meeting those deadlines - the worst thing is when you make a card specifically for a challenge and find the linky closed! These cards are fresh and elegant with great use of colour.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are beautiful, Greta! First card is lovely and so serene with the leaves! And, second card has awesome colorful stamping with the flowers and beautiful sentiment! Hope you're having a wonderful week!:-)
ReplyDeleteGreta, both of these are fantastic!!!! I love the second one with the bright flowers, but the vellum does a nice job muting the colors! Have a wonderful day, hugs!

ReplyDeleteFabulous stamping & designs.
That set of EH dies is probably one of your best investments! It is so versatile and you have done wonders again with it. Your first card is fabulous, I love all the different bits of foliage.
ReplyDeleteYou are really on a roll, Greta...two more GORGEOUS cards! I love your stamping with your CAS design on the first one, and how you added a vellum panel to the 2nd card! Loving your color combo on this one, too!
ReplyDeleteA sweet get well card and I love the soft dreaminess of the second card!

ReplyDeleteI love them both!
ReplyDeleteA duo of pretty, Greta...and made all the more impressive in being 'last minute'! The colourful scribble flowers catch my eye; striking with the vellum and, I'm sure, just as dazzling without!
ReplyDeleteHugs~c
These are both pretty cards. Usually I'm a sucker for leafy scenes no matter what but I think the swirly blooms have captured my heart this time.
