Would love to win a gift certificate for Ellen Hutson, so I made a last minute entry for the EH Pin-Sights challenge. The inspiration is beautiful, but I have very few EH products. Thankfully I have the Bold Blossom dies which I cut from a scrap of Bristol paper so I could color with my Zigs.
I picked 3 peach/pink & 3 blue markers & blended with water. The blooms were spritzed with Perfect Pearls. I used a couple Zigs to get as close as possible to the goldish color & colored a strip of watercolor paper with them. I used the same 2 markers to splatter the card front. SSS Painted Hugs was cut from gray cardstock, stacked 3 high & clear embossed. I mounted the white panel with fun foam & embellished with PPP clear dots. I'm also entering SSS Flickr Challenge 81 & The Playground.
Hard to believe we woke up to the tragedy in Las Vegas. Just when you think things can't get worse, something else happens. My heart goes out to everyone involved & again we're reminded not to take life for granted. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.
This is a delightful card Greta! I love the way you've colored the roses then added the sunny yellow splatters and border. Fabulous card!

Kisses, my friend.
Beautiful colors together Greta. You always find ways to make this set look so new and fresh. You are rocking it girl!
ReplyDeleteYour card is very lovely with the flower die cuts, Greta! Wonderful soft colors! Great touch with the splats of yellow on the background! So sad about the LV tragedy. My thoughts and prayers are with all those affected...so sad. My sis-in-law and her husband were out there and a former boss. But, they are all ok. And, we are due to go there next month. We have tickets to see Celine Dion. It's just so sad how much evil is in this world. But, we must carry on and trust in the Lord. Take care, hugs!
ReplyDeleteYour card has a fresh, modern and classy look; beautiful with the various tone on tone effect. We were shocked to hear of the tragedy in LV. A hideous event with so many lives ruined. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.
