I couldn't resist the beautiful IO stamp called Nest Collage when we used it in a class about 4 years ago. To give it a summer feel I began by heat embossing with Detail Copper powder & then sponging on Distress Inks squeezed lemonade, scattered straw & wild honey. I brushed on Perfect Pearls for a nice sheen. The edges of the image panel & the dry embossed mat were also copper embossed. If hubby doesn't want to use it for a thank you card, I'll write a note to a blogging friend. I'm also entering Penny Black & More, Retro Rubber, SSS Monday & SSS Wednesday. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the gold embossing on the yellow background!
ReplyDeleteyou really did capture "warm" with all those great colors - I'm looking forward to northern MN and cool for a few weeks!
ReplyDeleteAnother great card, Greta! You definitely captured the warmth using these colors along with copper emboss powder. Yes, the East Coast humidity is a struggle... but it does keep me in my nice cool craft room. Thanks for including Retro Rubber in your stamping fun this week. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the copper embossing powder and the DI colors look so great with it. Do you have the humidity with the heat? That's what makes it so unbearable when it's so hot here.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the embossing color and BG, beautiful!!! have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of a summer sunset, its lovely Greta.
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning. So inky and lovely.
ReplyDeleteNot sure how far away from Langley you are, but next year I will try to remember to forward you the email of the one time each year that the two stores have their garage sale on the same day. There are about 50 vendors with several tables each...always fabulous offerings...and your US money goes farther than mine!
We have a guest suite in our walkout basement so could put you up for the weekend...
Very warm colors! I love it. It makes me think of a late evening summer sky.
