When I was a kid at camp I loved decorating our cabin for Christmas & most of you probably know I love making Christmas cards. I made 2 using the SSS Falling Snow stencil.
The first one was inspired by the Christmas in July challenge at One Layer Simplicity. I heavily inked a card front with Distress Ink chipped sapphire & then stamped Penny Black "before the snow" in Memento Luxe Wedding Dress & blended with my finger. The PB sentiment from "winter wonders" was white embossed & masked with temporary tape before I stenciled with Faber-Castell Glass Bead Glitter Gel. I'm also entering SSS Flickr Challenge #48 & SSS Monday.
Next is another card for SSS Flickr #48 & a2z Scrapbooking. I stamped a tree & sentiment from Hero Arts & then used the same SSS stencil & FC glitter gel. It was a bit too plain to suit me, so I sprayed with 2 blue Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists & added green Stickles to the tree. I cut down the panel & matted it to a navy blue one & then the white card. I think this will work great for a guy, so I'm also entering A Blog Named Hero. 2 flat cards for mailing--yah! Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.
These are gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteBoth of these are great Christmas cards. With blue being my favorite color, I have to say I love the first card best. It is so soothing and reminds me of a soft snow falling outside my craft window where I can see the trees on the land next door.
