Generally speaking, coloring is not in my repertoire. However, I have the supplies to color--go figure!
First up is my card for MFT Camp Create Coloring on Kraft. I stamped the branch from MFT Spring (my first MFT purchase) with Versafine Vintage Sepia to fill the corner of my card front. Then I found my unused Faber Castell colored pencils & used 3 shades of pink. It wasn't so intimidating to have small areas to color & I did have fun doing it! I didn't have a white pencil in my stash (now I do!) so I used a marker replacement nib with white pigment ink to make the dots. The sentiment is from the same set & I finished off with PPP sequins. I'm also entering ATSM & The 30 Day Coloring Challenge.
My second card is for the SSS Flickr Challenge #49 which is to color.
Since I got some of the Zig wc markers, I have started to do some coloring & recently got Bristol smooth paper at the suggestion of several friends. It does work great when you don't want to use wc paper. I stamped images from SSS Spring Flowers in Versafine Onxy Black & colored with several Zigs. Think this is my first try at doing a light blue background, also with a Zig. Wish I'd skipped adding some white dots with a gel pen. I sponged the edges with Distress Ink Peeled Paint & sprayed the panel with Shimmer Spritz.
Foam tape mounts it to the WP9 Lattice die cut. Don't you love the cute little sentiment from SSS Card Exchanging Friends?! I added glitter to the tiny heart & finished with sequins. I'm also entering The 30 Day Coloring Challenge (via Flickr) & SSS Monday. Thanks so much for stopping by.

ReplyDeleteWhat a treat to see two gorgeous floral cards! I liked how they were so different, yet each one had a wonderful look to it. This is a tribute to your versatility as an artist! I loved the way you arranged the sequins on the kraft card-- as if they are blowing off the flowers-- and I adore the glitter and Springtime palette on the second card. Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
