Almost done with MFT Summer Camp--can't resist being in the running for the $150 gift certificate! Love random drawings!
My first card is for the Inlaid Made Easy challenge. The video is wonderful showing double inlaid, but I didn't have time for that yet. I white embossed a sentiment from MFT Grand Holiday Greetings & sponged with Distress Ink festive berries. The MFT snowflakes were cut from glitter paper & then sponged with the same ink before being inlaid. I mounted the panel with foam tape & decided against adding sequins or gems. I'm also entering CropStop.
Next is Magnificent Masking. Laurie used a stencil she made as her mask so I decided to use one of my many MFT stencils a friend gave me.
Instead of ink blending, I spritzed the Fishnet stencil with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists (Scarlet, Moonlight, Turquoise Blue & Blue Icing) on watercolor paper. The sentiment is also MFT stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black on vellum die cut with MFT Fishtail Flags. Finished off with black Pico Embellisher dots. The colors were as close as I could get to the current MFT Color challenge. I'm also entering Word Art Wednesday.
We had unexpected company, so I'm a little behind on reading blogs. Thanks so much for stopping by.
TFS with WAW this week - I wish you the best in the draw - have a blessed week!
ReplyDeleteLoving the entries you've been doing for the MFT boot camp. Lots of techniques and fabulous inspiration...Thank you x
ReplyDeleteboth wonderful cards, Greta - maybe tomorrow will be the day i can go to camp!! crazy week
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas card is just gorgeous, Greta! Lovely color and pretty snowflakes! And, your second card has a fabulous background! Pretty vellum sentiment, too! Good luck with the drawing for the prize!
ReplyDeleteThe beautiful pink background on your fist card looks like suede! So pretty Greta! Terrific job on the second one too, fabulous background!!
ReplyDeleteLove both cards Greta but especially the first with that blending and inlaid snow flakes. So so pretty. Im so far behind on commenting on blogs I think I need to just forget it and start fresh or type out a generic comment and paste into everyones blogs lol. No not that bad, yet.
ReplyDeleteJust love both cards, Greta! The inlaid snowflakes look great on card one and I love the multicolored stencil on card two!!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are so wonderful, Greta! You've certainly earned those badges and how I hope the 'big win' comes your way! Your snowflakes are so pretty; your Fishnet stencil, eye-catching! WOW!

Two fabulous cards Miss Greta...love your incredible style and wishing you luck on winning too!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards Greta. Love the stenciling one. Your inlaid die one is superb as well.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful inlaid Christmas card. I love the sponging in soft colors for a Christmas card and the snowflakes just sparkle. The sprays through the stencil came out great. I love that look and the sentiment. Have fun with your company.
ReplyDeleteGreta, you are rocking the MFT challenges.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are simply lovely!
Your go Greta, you are making the most use of your 'camp time' and your cards are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteLove this!
ReplyDeleteanother fantastic set of cards, greta... great takes on both challenges!!
ReplyDeleteThose inlaid snowflakes are really nifty. That's a fun way to show snowflakes since they tend to be rather nebulous in real life (until they gang up with hundreds of thousands of their buddies).
ReplyDeleteYou've done an amazing job with your Camp Create cards, Greta! Love all of your entries...since I didn't enter, I hope you win!!!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are both beautiful! We are so blessed that you joined our Challenge at Word Art Wednesday. We have a new Challenge going on and we hope you can link with us again. Leaving you with the inspiration of God’s Word in Jeremiah 32:17 which says, “‘Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.”
ReplyDeleteGod bless,
