Keren's Card |
I'm about to miss the deadline for W&W Rerun Challenge, so this will be quick. I don't have their True stamp set, but that might change soon! Loved all the DT cards & finally came up with this idea inspired by Keren's card. In addition, it's my entry for W&W Gossip Column, Spectrum. I'm so lucky to have sweet blogging friends like Cat who sent me W&W The Big Bold Friends die cuts--love the font! I colored it with Memento Tuxedo Black & used Teresa Collins little alphabet stickers.
The butterfly is Penny Black & is covered with spray glitter. My rainbow is made with various ribbons & white sequins. Fun to do something different--hope you like it! Thanks so much for taking time to visit my blog.
I wasn't sure what I'd end up with for my PTI Blog Hop card, but decided to start by making a smooshed panel of the colors. The inks are PTI Lovely Lady, Raspberry Fizz & Simply Chartreuse along with Distress Ink Mermaid Lagoon & a mix of Fired Brick with Frayed Burlap.
Thought the circular image from PTI Friendly Flowers might look neat stamped in white paint. I used Picket Fence Distress Paint watered down a bit. It's a little hard to see in the picture, but I do like it. I die cut the panel with a Spellbinder die & matted it to a square of Raspberry Fizz with foam tape. The words & die cut are from Don't Forget to Write & 3 clear sequins provide embellishment. I'm also entering Word Art Wednesday. Lots to see, so enjoy the hop!
I did it--completed MFT Camp Create! The link is about to close, so quick post. My card for Spectacular Shakers Creative Challenge is made with these MFT products: Vertical Greetings die, Prima Donna Petals, Mini Rolled Roses, Striped BGs & Thankful Leaves. The sentiment is stamped in Versafine Majestic Blue. I used seed beeds & small PPP clear sequins for the shaker mix & clear dots to embellish the pink felt roses. I was inspired by the theme at City Crafter Challenge Blog.
Next is my entry for PTI MIM using Reverse Stenciling.
I used a stencil from Tattered Angels which I've had a long time, but never used. The sentiment is from the Don't Forget to Write MIM Kit. I used PTI Lovely Lady & Versafine Smokey Gray. The card has a wondeful shimmer from Tsukineko Shimmer Spritz & finished off with PPP clear sequins.
I'm also entering One-Layer Simplicity. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by. I'll catch up on my blog reading as soon as I can.
I haven't worked for 6 weeks, so hopefully I'll remember how to do my job today. Always miss my dad, but days like this are especially hard. I know a lot of you are in the same situation.
Last night I was able to finish a couple cards. First up is my entry for PTI Create Along With Us. I pinned a lot of the DT cards, but finally decided to case the design of this card by Nicole. I pulled out Watercolor Wonder & stamped the images in PTI Lavender Moon, Spring Rain & Mint Julep. The dots from Harvest Berries are stamped in Soft Stone.
My first time to do a double sentiment this way--just love it! I used Splits: Just A Note & Wonderful Words: Hello with Soft Stone & Versafine Smokey Gray. The whole card is covered in Shimmer Spritz for a lovely sheen. I'm also entering Share Joy.
Next is my card for day 2 of MFT Camp Create. The video shows a darling slider card, but the creative challenge is make a card with any type of movable part. I don't have the supplies for sliders or wobblers, so had to improvise.
Needed a card for Fritz to give Daddy so for the first time I used the dog from MFT Boy & His Dog Snow Adorable. I colored with markers, fussy cut & added Diamond Glaze. The Memory Box heart die cut was stamped with an old Stampin' Up paw print & then I attached the dog using a spring from an old pen (cut down) & Diamond Glaze. May not hold up too well, but trust me, the doggy moves when you gently push down on his nose--kind of fun!
The words are from MFT Complimentary Greetings. For the inside I used another MFT set & colored the little heart to match the doggy's scarf. Think hubby will get a kick out of this card!
Thanks so much for taking time to stop by. I'll catch up with you as soon as I can. I'm also entering Double D.
I always loved summer camp as a kid, so I was happy to go to MFT Camp Create. Day One's Creative Challenge is Glitzy Glitter--right up my alley--& the video is great! Easy decision of which MFT die to use--the wonderful Poinsettia.
Elizabeth Craft glitter is my favorite--smooth & sparkly when burnished. I used Regal Red, Sweet Basil & Champagne. The sentiment is also from MFT. Think I'll make some more of these in different colors. Yah--earned my first badge!
I skipped day 2 for now--hope that doesn't put me in detention--haha. Day Three's Creative Challenge is Wonderful Watercolor & there's another great video! I pulled out my first MFT stamp set, Spring. I've used the sentiment, but never the pretty branch.
I stamped in PTI Classic Kraft & watercolored with my Zigs, which I also used for the splatters. The sentiment is stamped in Versafine Vintage Sepia & then I spritzed the panel with Shimmer Spritz. I made a smooshed background & then a blended background--neither looked good. Finally realized it just needed to be a kraft card. 2nd Badge earned & hope I'll have a chance to get some more!
