Pastels

blog-banner
I love pastels, so had to play in the new challenge at Colour Me.  I'm also entering my card in Penny Black's Sending Hugs challenge. I started by stamping the PB die cut butterfly with their gorgeous glory of modesty in VersaMagic Pixie Dust. The PB sentiment from friendship was stamped on a panel of light yellow cardstock using Memento Gray Flannel. I die cut the butterfly in the corner of the panel.  The gray cardstock was dry embossed & then the yellow panel was attached.  I glued the butterfly in place leaving the wings free to bend upwards.  3 tiny pink pearls are the only embellishment. Even though there are no hearts, I plan to send it to a friend for Valentine's Day.
I always enjoy your comments--thanks for taking time to leave them.
Edited to add: Also entering SSS Monday.

  4. It seems the other three comments 'stuck', so I'm hoping x 10000 this one does, because WOW, WOW, WOW - gorgeous card! Colours - as you've chosen them - are striking, but it's that butterfly that has me in awe, tucked partially into a die cut and partially free. The three pearls are the perfect finishing touch. Such an impact! Hugs~c

  10. Such a beautiful card, and, as others have said, that is an awesome butterfly. Thank you for your visit and you lovely comments. I have more plans for using silver birch bark, but I need a couple of dry days to allow me to find some good pieces all ready to fall off. Have a good week. xx Maggie #24
