Yellow Roses

The current challenge colors at Dynamic Duos is rich yellow & vibrant green. These are not colors I would usually pick for a Valentine, but decided to see if I could make them work. I die cut some of the Penny Black leaves & inked them with Distress Paints mowed lawn & antique linen & added Distress Stickles.  MFT Lemon Drop felt was used for the MFT rolled roses & tiny yellow gems are in the centers.  The negative of the Memory Box heart die cut was stamped with Penny Black's music background using Distress Ink frayed burlap. I pierced holes from the back & sponged the edges.  It's mounted over kraft cardstock dry embossed with a beautiful rose folder.  The kraft mat is lightly distressed.  I have to say neither green or yellow are colors I would list in my favorites, but I actually love how this card turned out.
One of the good things about challenges is that you sometimes discover things you might otherwise have missed.  I'm also entering Pixies Snippets Playground & the Sending Hugs challenge at Penny Black
