I finally inked up my ODBD Mountain Range stamp to enter their current Anything Goes challenge. I love the image but hadn't come up with a way to use it until now. I embossed with brown ep, die cut with Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles & sponged with a variety of Distress Inks. The quote is from the ODBD set called Mountain & I thought it was pertinent as we begin a new year. Some of us may have goals or plans we know won't be easy & we just have to take one step at a time. You've truly blessed my life this year & I wish you a 2014 filled with peace & joy.

Oh, Greta, what a fabulous card, and I also LOVE that quote! And it works so wonderfully with the beautiful mountain range scene…I just love the sponging. And the dies accent the card wonderfully! I just got this myself and can't wait to use it soon, especially after seeing you use it on a couple of cards! So glad you've joined us again this week for the ODBD Shining the Light challenge…and a very Happy New Year to you and your dear hubby! Hugs!!

ReplyDeletebeautiful card, greta... the inked background really sets off the stamped image!! happy new year, my friend!
ReplyDeleteYou've created the most lovely scene to complement your embossed mountain range. The quote is one of my favourites; actually, one I often used, back in my teaching days, so begin the school year. It speaks to the importance of the journey, but especially to the importance of taking that first step...and then another...I'm so glad that I took a 'first step' a while back in connecting with you! And may your journey continue here, on hour blog, and (fingers crossed) at a 'real' connection at some point in 2014! Fabulous card; wonderful inspiration! Hugs~c
