(Click HERE for my Merry Monday GD Post)
Last minute entry for MFT Sketch challenge & this month's color palette challenge. I used MFT Distressed Diamonds stamped in VersaMagic Pixie Dust & a piece of Teresa Collins printed paper for the background. The bird cage, bird & sentiment are from MFT Contempo Cage. Gesso was randomly applied to all the pieces. I used some of the paper flowers in my stash, part of a gem flourish & other gems for embellishments.
A bit towards shabby chic--not my usual style, but I really enjoyed putting this card together. I'm also entering Pixies Snippets Playground. Thank you for stopping by.
Edited to add: Also entering the challenge at SSS Monday.
Just beautiful Greta. Love the shabby chic look... think it's the combo of the black white and pink that makes it so special.

ReplyDeleteHello Greta,
ReplyDeletePink and Black, no-one would envisage that these two hues would work together; one relates power and drama and the other sweet and girly. But surprisingly they do, so very well. The sketch is such an unusual design, not easy to interpret and make something work, but goodness Greta, you have done so magnificently, there is movement and dimension that sits so perfectly with the Bird and Cage.
Smiles:)
Sue

ReplyDeleteGreta, saw this over at the Snippets Playground as a highlighted card. And very well deserved accolade, as this is simply lovely. Loved your gesso'd bkgrnd papers. Put me in mind of one of the luxury magazine photos, and with all the beautiful birdcage, bird, flowers & pearls, it is just fantastic. Just became your newest follower, and so glad to meet you at the Playground! TFS & hope you'll visit if/when you have time. Hugs
