First Christmas card of 2014

I love making Christmas cards all year & now that I've found Merry Monday, it will be weekly.  I love this gorgeous Penny Black poinsettia script stamp, but didn't get a card made with it last year. Needed to use my Distress Paints so inked up the stamp with spun sugar & fired brick, spritzed & stamped on watercolor paper. Then I
overstamped using Delicata Golden Glitz, sponged the edges with the gold & Distress Ink gathered twigs & dry embossed it. The effect of the gold is amazing in real life.  The strip is colored with the same paints & inks before the Stampendous! sentiment is stamped in Versafine Vintage Sepia & the piece is dry embossed. The kraft card is also sponged with gathered twigs.

Hope you're having a great weekend. I'm really happy you came by.
