Summer Flowers Take 1

I recently saw a card made with IO Sketched Roses which made me decide to use it for the Summer Flowers challenge.  I didn't get a hanging basket or flowers for my pots this year.  Just had no motivation with the pandemic & wanting to stay away from stores.  But my hydrangea went absolutely crazy with blooms & I have my roses which are always my main summer flower.
I began by blending a panel with DO candied apple, abandoned coral & fossilized amber.  Then I embossed the roses using a very old JudiKins ep called Black Diamond.  I loved the result with beautiful summery colors & a bit of sparkle.
The fossilized amber was just too much contrast from the almost ombre look of the red & coral blend.  I switched to this design so I could use a smaller panel matted with black.  The IO Greetings Top Edgers sentiment, was stacked 2 high & covered with Shimmer Pico Embellisher.  I didn't waste the rest of the panel--you'll see it soon.  I'm also entering Allsorts, PB&M & WAW.

  6. An elegant and classic card; one that made me sigh Ahhh! at first glance. The ep really makes the image pop. Love everything about this card Greta. We've been keeping clear of public spaces too and I wear a mask, when I go out. Better safe than sorry. Keep well. x

  10. I don’t normally do hanging baskets or pots but I managed to get a delivery from my local garden centre so
I went mad and filled loads. So glad I did as the garden is now a riot of colour. I have tomatoes growing for the first time in years too. Just taken divery of more plants That I ordered direct from The Netherlands. All the plants were individually packed and all heathy looking. I have spaces in the borders that needed filling with late summer/autumn blooms. I love this card you have made. Those colours are super together.hugs Mrs A.

  14. This is beautiful and just sparkles. Same for me with flowers this year. I usually get flowers from Home Depot and use pots as our ground is hard clay. Since I don't go out, I don't have flowers. This heat probably would have gotten to them this summer.
