Poor Fritz has an ear infection, so part of today was spent at the Vet. Hopefully by tomorrow it will be much better. I hate to miss PTI Transformation Tuesday, so did get my card made.
Here's the original card made for a MIM challenge. I really love how this card turned out, but wanted to try a Christmas version.

Old Card |
I didn't finish my card until after dark & just can't get a photo that shows the colors very well. The die cut What the Doodle: Snowflake was sitting on my table. I made it for my Blog Hop card, but decided to go with a white snowflake for that card.

New Card |
This one was cut from red cardstock, covered with shimmer & double clear embossed--so pretty in person. I used the same Window Works die, but turned it to be a square. The panel is Pinefeather & the mat is Spring Rain. In person, the tone on tone embossed sentiment from Snowflake Flurries looks great--sorry about the photo.

November 25--just one month until Christmas. The PTI Blog Hop gives me one more day of fun before I go into total panic mode--haha! I love Christmas & began stamping 20 plus years ago so I could make my Christmas cards. I may have to use the inspiration for several more, but today's card is inspired by the red & white color scheme along with the clean, fresh look of the packages. The bit of blue is pretty, but left it off for this one.
The snowflake from What the Doodle: Snowflake is stacked 3 high, covered with shimmer & attached to the panel with 2 foiled strips. I dry embossed the card front before mounting the focal point with foam tape. I'm also entering AAA Cards, Fusion (just the photo), Rudolph Days, SSS Monday & SSS Wednesday.

While I had What the Doodle: Snowflake out, I made my card for PTI MIM.
The inks are Sweet Blush, Lovely Lady & Autumn Rose. The sentiment from Splits: 'Tis the Season is stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne. I'm also entering SSS Monday & SSS Wednesday.

Last is another tag for Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags. I love Kim's watercolor trees on Day 14. I used a very, very old wood mounted stamp inked with DI peeled paint & spritzed before stamping.
You can see I also did some second generation stamping. The Savvy Stamps sentiment (also very old) stamped in Versafine Pinecone is mounted with foam tape.

It's always fun to case a designer for PTI CAWU. Several cards caught my eye & I've made 3 so far.
Michelle's fun rainbow tree on day 3 gave me the idea to try an image from Ombre Builders, but just using green ink.
Kind of fun, but not sure anyone would know it's a tree.
Next I cased one of Dawn's cards on Day 2. For the foliage I used the Meadow Greens ferns with several images from Spruce & Sprigs.
The panel is Aqua Mist & the inks are New Leaf, Aqua Mist, Vintage Jadeite & Olive Twist. I wasn't happy with my stamping on one side, but salvaged it by cutting the panel smaller. The sentiment from Take 3 Winter was stamped in Olive Twist, matching the card front. Hard to see, but the berries are covered in Stickles.
My final card & the one I'm entering in CAWU was inspired by Laurie's Day 1 card using black & gray with a pop of red--so striking! I plan to try it with trees, but for this card I used the same layout & images as my last card stamping in Soft Stone, Weathervane, Smokey Shadow & Brilliance Pearlescent Poppy.
The Soft Stone panel was die cut with Scallop Stackers: Small. I saw it upside down on my table & decided I liked it. The sentiment from Snowflake Flurries was stamped in Smokey Shadow, matching the card front. This time I covered the berries in Christmas Red Stickles. I'm also entering Stamping Sensations & Time Out.
