If you don't go on Instagram, you may not know that the adventure mentioned in my last post was a trip to Taylored Expressions Stamp Joy event. What made it so special was that my good friend, Betty, picked me up at the airport & drove us from Nebraska to Iowa.
I almost didn't get there due to Seattle being socked in. We had a wonderful time together & it was hard to believe it was our first meeting. I did get a big surprise when a quick snow storm dropped 3 1/2 inches the day before I left. It was beautiful!
I'm slowly getting back into my routine & will be visiting your blogs as soon as I can. Clearly my priorities are in order as I made a card today before getting the laundry done--haha! I've been wanting to enter Reverse Confetti Stock Your Stash Challenge now that I have the Tall Blooms set.
The flower was stamped in Versafine Vintage Sepia & colored with Zigs. I really do love the look of messy watercolor. First time to add a little freehand grass--not too bad. I need to practice the blue watercolor wash background, but at least I didn't ruin the panel. The sentiment is from the same set & I added brown Zig splatters. Gold Stickles in the flower center gives a bit of sparkle. I'm also entering Time Out & WAW.
Thanks so much for taking time to stop by. If your blog address is in your profile or comment, I will visit you as soon as I can.
What a fun crafty adventure with your friend, Betty! And, you came into some snow...brrr! Not looking forward to the snowy cold within the next couple months. Your card is lovely! Gorgeous flower and very pretty blue background!

ReplyDeleteThe water color is so pretty with your new stamp.
