Time for a Christmas Card

I planned to include my entry for SSS Flickr Challenge 91 & Rudolph Days in my last post, but I just wasn't happy with it.
Original Version
I purposely didn't make a watercolor frame, but this morning I decided to see if that was what it needed.  I carefully removed the tree & used the same blue Zig I used to color the tree on the frame die cut from Bristol paper.
Remake
So much better, but decided it could also use a little something.  I added a very old HA white felt snowflake & a gem.  Now I can actually send it to someone this year--yah!  The tree die cut is SSS Color Me Trees cut from Bristol paper & colored with blue & green Zigs blended with a waterbrush.

I added Frosted Lace Stickles & pounced it with my finger so there aren't any lines.  The frame is SSS Holiday Frames & the embossing folder is Taylored Expressions Snowfall.  I'm also entering CCCB.  Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.

  1. Just love your blue & green tree, Greta! So pretty with the embossed dots and the blue frame! Like both versions but the softer blue frame looks amazing with the added snowflake!

  13. I like your changes. The first card is nice but it lacks the pizazz of the second. Plus your frame color is wonderful with the watercoloring on the tree. I really like that frame die too!
