First is hubby's Valentine, inspired by the Transformation Tuesday Challenge. I wasn't happy with the watercolor wash I did on this card I made last Fall.
I tried again & still didn't like it, so changed to my trusty splatters--love 'em!
I used the same word die cut & basically the same design. Not sure I've ever used the cute balloon & string from Heart-2-Heart #2 although I've had that set for several years. Took 3 tries to get the silver embossing done to my liking. So simple, but I kept messing it up. In the end I got a card I think hubby will like, so it was worth it! I'm also entering AAA, SSS Monday & SSS Wednesday.
Edited to add: also entering SSS Work it Wednesday.
Next is my entry for the Floral Challenge. I was going to use The Sweet Life which is one of my favorite sets. However, I got Friendship Jar Flowers quite awhile ago & haven't used it much. So glad I inked it up & hope my friend likes this card as much as I do.
The inks are Brilliance Starlite Black & Distress Ink fired brick. The black ink was used for some tiny splatters, too. I used my scoring board to make a frame & popped up the sentiment which is from Counting my Blessings. It was a bit tricky getting little pieces of the foam tape onto the top of the die cut, but worth it. Finished off with PPP clear dots. I'm also entering HLS Anything Goes with Dies, Retro Rubber (got the flower stamp Nov 2016 & the sentiment long before that), SSS Monday, SSS Wednesday & SSS Send a Card to a Friend Day. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by. I'm way behind, but will stop by your blogs as soon as I can.
