Joy to You
I challenged myself to finish my card for the W&W January Color Combo with Heather H today. That's because February is the month for W&W's 4th Birthday Bash--lots of fun challenges! It worked because here's my card which I popped into the mail this afternoon.
Shades of pink, brown & gold are so beautiful together that it was really fun to come up with this birthday card. I started by smooshing Distress Inks spun sugar & victorian velvet onto a strip of watercolor cardstock. I added splatters of Gansai Tambi Champagne gold watercolor & die cut it with W&W True Multifaceted Border die. I also die cut a scrap of brown cardstock & inlaid the pink pieces. The card front was splattered with more of the gold watercolor & the sentiment from CFS was stamped in Hero Arts Cup O' Joe. I stacked the Joy die cut from In Bloom: Frenchy's Festive Florals & brushed the top one in the gold watercolor. A bit different for a BD card, but hopefully it will make the recipient smile.
