Cream & Red Valentine

Had an early BD celebration yesterday with hubby's daughter & family.  She made my favorite Pecan Cobbler which she sent home with us along with left over chili & cornbread.  I don't even have to cook today!  Instead I finished up my PTI MIM card before it was time for the Super Bowl.  Actually, I was struggling to finish it on Friday, but today it came together.
The background is another piece of the old sheet music my neighbor gave me.  I found some paint chips I picked up a long time ago & used one for the blooms & leaves from PTI Friendly Flowers.  The blooms are covered with Distress Stickles Antique Linen & when it dried I added some Memento Rhubard Stalk to the edges.
The heart die cut is Memory Box Bingham Heart which I finally added to my stash after Valentine's Day last year.  Isn't it beautiful?!  The Savvy Stamps sentiment was stamped in Rhubarb Stalk on a double layered vellum strip.  Had just the right red gems & really thought they were better than sequins for the feel of this card.  I'm also entering DRU, MSC, The Snippets Playground, Memory Box & SSS Wednesday.  I've gotten a little behind, but will catch up with your blogs as soon as I can.  Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.
Edited to add: Also entering SSS Work It Wednesday.

  26. Gorgeous card Greta! I have that Bingham Heart die as well - slap my wrists as I think I only ever used it the once! It's so delicate isn't it. Another item to dust off and put into use. And isn't 'Rhubarb Stalk' the most wonderful colour of ink pad?! One of my very favourites here. A really lovely card, as you can guess from the little gasp I gave here!
