Spring is almost here & I know a lot of you are more than ready for it! Winter pretty much skipped us this year--no ice or snow here. Fritz & I have seen daffodils blooming on our walks for weeks! Our theme this month at Penny Black Saturday challenge is Spring Blooms. I pulled out my old & well-loved PB daffodil called O March & made another tile with ultra thick embossing powder inspired by Caryn. You can see my first card HERE.
This time I began with white embossing & then used the clear ultra thick powder. I actually bought a cheap electric skillet years ago just to make these tiles. I can't keep the powder from blowing all over with a heat gun. When it was almost thick enough I added some of my old beads & green shreds. You have to work quickly, so the stamp was already inked with Vivid yellow & green when I removed the tile from the skillet & immediately stamped into the melted powder. A tiny bit of a darker yellow ink was added with a paintbrush. The joy die is from a PB Christmas set but seemed appropriate to welcome Spring. The PB leaves were die cut from double sided adhesive & cardstock so I could add Distress Rock Candy Stickles. I sponged the mat with the Vivid yellow ink & a Cuttlebug folder was used on the card front. The stitching is done with Lil' Inkers Stitched Rectangles. Hope you'll check out my teammates wonderful projects & join us. I'm entering the Just a Hint of Clover challenge at SSS Monday, Anything Goes at Loves Rubberstamps & Spring at SSS Work It Wednesday. Edited to Add: Also entering the embossing challenge at Virginia's View.

Another stunning card Greta, what a totally different look using the same technique - just changing out the colour of the UTEE! Isn't it fun visiting an old technique?! This is a gorgeous, Spring card.
