PTI and GK

Crazy weather--back to super hot.  So grateful we have air conditioning & that the fires aren't threatening us.
I'm not completely sure, but I think it's back to PTI--Papertrey Ink, with some products called Ink to Paper Collection.  Anyway, I love the Delicates Die set, but haven't used it much.  Here are a couple cards I recently made for PTI challenges & posted on IG.  The Christmas card was made from 2 rejected die cuts that had the centers inked in yellow with a dirty brush.  Luckily, Pure Poppy covered the yellow just fine & made me think of a poinsettia!

I really love my new PTI dies called Into the Blooms II.  I brushed all the die cuts with PTI inks Spring Rain, Enchanted Evening, Dark Indigo, Autumn Rose, Scarlet Jewel, Lovely Lady, Hibiscus Burst & Weathervane.
The background is a Soft Stone panel with a white Cover Plate Herringbone die cut.  The flower centers are covered in Stickles & Rainstones are used for water droplets.  The sentiment is from Twig Wreath.  I entered PTI What Do I Do with This (use Rainstones for the look of droplets) & I'm also entering The Flower Challenge.
The August Gina K Monthly Mix challenge theme is to use multiple sentiment strips.  I started my card by putting images from GK A Big Hello in my Misti so I could stamp, turn the panel & stamp again.
Love the beautiful Delicata Sapphire Blue ink.  The hello word was silver embossed on vellum, attached to another vellum strip & wrapped around the panel.  The sentiment strips from the same set were mounted with foam tape.  Finished with silver & white confetti & sequins.  Pretty simple card, but I do love the look & so did a lot of people on IG.
The ModSquad challenge is to make a card & send it to Gina K to thank her for sponsoring the challenge.  I had fun using images from 4 different GK sets (Winter Hugs, Mini Wreath Builder, Sketched Wreath Builder & Holiday Tapestry) with the Wreath Builder template using Gina's technique of only 4 turns.
I used lots of different inks from various companies.  The sentiment from GK/HA Collaboration set was stamped on AJVD stitched strip.  I used a Copic to color the tiny, white GK heart & covered it & the dots with Stickles.  I'm also entering WAW.

  4. Those PTI dies are awesome and just coloring the centers really made them stand out. They are versatile too with the flower card, then Christmas card. Great cards and staying in when it's so hot and making cards is the best thing to do! That blue ink is the most beautiful shade.
