Grateful

I've had this card in mind for weeks & finally got it made to enter IO You're a Hoot challenge.  I love the Nest Collage (F13050) & thought it'd make a beautiful Fall card.
I swiped VersaMagic Red Brick, Mango Madness & Brilliance Pearlescent Rust on vanilla cardstock.  I stamped the image & Grateful sentiment (A8783) in Versafine Clair Acorn.  I brushed a gold glimmer pen over the bird & added an eye with a black pen.
The card front was dry embossed with a piece of burlap & lightly brushed with Fresh Linen ink.  I matted the panel with brown cardstock & mounted it with fun foam.  I'm also entering SSS Wednesday & TTTC088 (Thanksgiving, Autumn, Rust).

Variety of Cards

October is almost over, so gotta get these cards entered into the challenges.  I'll try to keep the explanations brief.  I admit to focusing on the pictures when I read blogs, unless there's something I have questions about.
First up is another CAS card using PTI Splits: 'Tis the Season.  This time I embossed in silver & stamped in Enchanted Evening.
The silver frame is PTI Pierced Feature Rectangle.  There's Stickles on the dripping wax & berries.  I'm entering Rudolph Days.
The rest of my cards are for Fall/Thanksgiving.  First is my entry for the Altenew October challenge.  A sweet friend shared her gc with me, so I was able to get the Leafy Border die that had been on my wishlist since I first saw it.
I inked cardstock with DO fossilized amber & die cut it twice to layer.  The background was done by smooshing 3 green DIs on wc paper.  The fancy hello was stacked, inked with DO peeled paint & covered in Nuvo Glaze.  Love the brown sequins for a subtle touch of bling.

Next is my entry for ITP/PTI Leaves in Fall inspiration challenge.  I pulled out the extra dies that go with Fancy Foliage & inked them with about all the PTI green inks.
The sparkle on the ends was done with a Quickie Glue pen & Vintage Platinum Glitter Dust.  The panel is Cover Up: Diamonds stamped in Fine Linen on a Fine Linen panel.  Instead of a bird, I used Butterfly Hope die with MFT Orange Zest felt.
I attached the 2 die cuts in the center only & added brown pearls down the body.  The sentiment is from ITP Bold Blooms.  I'm also entering The Snippets Playground with lots of white snippets used for the leaves.

Last is my entry for the October Gina K Monthly Mix.  My newest GK stamp set is A Big Hello.  The dies for the set were sent to me in error when I placed an order from a store that carries a lot of brands.  They sent me what I'd ordered & told me to just keep the dies.  Tricky, tricky--haha!  Of course, I wanted the stamp set which I had on my wishlist.  Didn't want to spend that much money, but the next time there was a sale you know what happened!
It is a beautiful set I'm glad to have.  I made my color block panel by swiping DI cubes in carved pumpkin, twisted citron & fossilized amber.  The image was stamped in Versafine Clair Acorn & I splattered a dark brown Zig.  The sentiment from the set was popped up & I decided against bling this time.  I'm also entering SSS Wednesday & WAW.

Thanksgiving & Christmas

I already made an Autumn card with the PFS Hello with a Bouquet die, so pulled out the Dainty Blossoms die set to make this card for the PFS October Challenge
I still had the plaid paper out from a previous card & wanted to finally use the EH Hex Frames I won when they were released.  The sentiment from PFS Delicate Wreath was stamped in Versafine Clair Acorn on the brown textured card front.  I really like these SSS brown sequins as they add some bling without detracting from the focal point.  I'm also entering COF where my friend, Cat, is the GD.

You probably know I love pink, so no surprise I made an entry for the October Poppystamps Think Pink challenge.  The beautiful Twirly Whirly Tree was a gift a long time ago & finally I used it.  Haven't made a shaker in ages & love how this turned out.
I only used 1 layer of foam tape to keep it from being too thick.  I really wanted the shaker mix mostly for sparkle, so I just used Stampendous Shaved Ice & seed beads which worked great.
The PFS sentiment is die cut from vellum & silver glitter tape.  Pink, gray & silver--love that combo!  I'm also entering WAW.

Stamplorations Belated 7th anniversary celebration has lots of ways to win.  One of them is to post a picture of your Stamplorations stash.  I have a variety of stencils, stamps & dies.
Some of these goodies are yet to be used, but now I can cross the Peace, Love, Joy phrase die off the list!
Glitter cardstock can be pretty expensive, but glitter fun foam is really cheap!  The gold one isn't my favorite shade, so instead I bought the bronze which is really beautiful!
I dry embossed a green panel with the Richard Garay Lumberjack Days ef & colored a little wooden star with a red Copic to match the card front.  Simple card, but I love it!  I'm entering the 7th Birthday Linky Party since Christmas is the celebration of Christ's birth.

Guest Designing for Tic Tac Toe

I'm honored to again be the GD for Tic Tac Toe.  The challenge board has options that work perfectly for Fall/Halloween cards.
I picked the middle, horizontal row of  Pumpkin, Friends, Trees.  Poppystamps Swaying Birch is from 2017--before slimline cards became the rage.  But they're quite tall making them work great!
I ink blended the background using DO Faded Jeans & Peeled Paint along with DI Frayed Burlap.  I used a finger dauber & gray ink to add a bit of shading to the trees.  MFT Primitive Pumpkins were die cut from 2 shades of orange felt attached to white cardstock.  The sentiment from ODBD was stamped in Versafine Clair Acorn which looks darker than usual on top of the DO.  Great to have a Thanksgiving card ready to mail.  Hope I've inspired you to play along!

BIG Pumpkin!

A year ago this month I was at a crafty friends retreat in Indiana.  So glad we didn't put it off a year.  You never know what the future is going to bring.  We did some shopping at the stamp stores in Nashville, Indiana.  One of the gals pointed out the sale box where I found a couple large Memory Box dies for $5.  I didn't get around to using them last year, but today I made a card with Plush Pumpkin.
Fun to pull out my floss & do a little stitching.  I've had this beautiful plaid paper for years.  Luckily there was enough left to cut the PTI frame along with the leaf & sentiment strip from the reverse side.  The pumpkin was sponged with DO Spiced Marmalade to give a bit of variation to the look.  I stamped the PRS frame & sentiment in Versafine Clair Acorn & finished off with brown sequins.  I'm entering Outside the Box, ModSquad & TTT (Die Cut, Fall Sentiment, Designer Paper).

Christmas Kickstart & Squash It

I was determined to get a card made for the Christmas Kickstart Pink challenge.  There are 2 photos to use for inspiration.  I pretty much copied the plate in the first photo which I love!
I stamped an old HA tree & a Winnie & Walter sentiment in Delicata Silvery Shimmer.  The gold glitter mat is really a thin frame with white cardstock in the center.
I die cut the EH deer from the saved piece.  Luckily, I have a bright pink Zig for splatters & the right shade of pink cardstock.  Finished off with gold sequins.
Simple card, but really pretty in person.  I'm also entering ABC Christmas.

Two of my blogging friends, Gail & Jo, have started a new challenge called Let's Squash It.  Before I started making cards, I bought dry embossed stationary.  So a challenge using embossing folders is right up my alley!  The first challenge is Geometric & Metallic.  I used one of my older Sizzix folders that came in a set called Hello Friend Set.  I sold the others since I bought it just for this one.
The bronze foil sheet is also by Sizzix--so pretty!  I used one of the RC die cut wreaths from my friend, Rosemary, foliage from PTI Twig Wreath & Painted Thanks from SSS.
The little branches & the word are cut from the same dark red cardstock, but I added Nuvo Glaze to the word.  I'm also entering SSS Flickr & WAW.
