A friend who used to blog introduced me to tag cards, so that's what I made for the IO Tag You're It Challenge. I folded a piece of kraft cardstock & trimmed it into a tag shape.
Glad to get an Easter card made using one of my newest IO stamps, Leafy Branch (F6046) which I stamped in VersaMagic Gingerbread, Brilliance Pearlescent Chocolate & Delicata Golden Glitz--offsetting each time.
After the IO sentiment, Easter Blessings (B5430) was gold embossed, I realized something else was needed. I cut a strip from the kraft scraps & gold embossed it to use across the bottom. Then I punched a couple circles from another of the scraps. The small one was gold embossed & the larger one was inked with Pearlescent Chocolate. I glued them near the top & punched a hole in the center so I could tie on the gold trim. I'm also entering SSS Wednesday.

Friendship, Birthday, Christmas
I learned about Wonder Stix from my friend, Ivana, a long time ago. Finally used a 50% off coupon at Michaels to get them.
Tried them out by coloring 3 Pinkfresh Dainty Blossoms sprigs. I used a water brush to smooth the color. Ivana says they're fabulous for vellum, so plan to try that next. The sentiment from Delicate Wreath was stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne & I added splatters with a black Zig. I entered the Pinkfresh February challenge via IG. I'm also entering Double D.
I've had 2 of the SSS Painted Happy Birthday die cuts on my table a long time. Finally decided to use them or throw them out!
I stacked the 2 together & embossed with SSS Rose Gold ep. It's so pretty, but I don't use it much. Instead of putting it with gray or navy, I decided to try PTI Sweet Blush & Pale Peony--love it!
I used Pale Peony ink with SSS Square Dance stencil. The SSS Peeking Daisies were inked with Pale Peony & covered in Nuvo Glaze. Finished off with PPP Rose Gold sequins. I'm entering SSS Flickr 143, SSS Wednesday & (words & daisies) The Snippets Playground.
I HAD to have the Honey Bee Poinsettia Background stencil, but didn't use it for any cards last year. Now that is crazy & thanks to this card it won't be true for 2020!
I used the simple technique of inking with Versamark & embossing in gold on a green panel. Then I trimmed the panel to A2 size & used the retired SSS curved die. I mounted the panel to a cream card & attached the MFT joy die cut. It was cut from red glitter tape attached to cardstock for stability. The little sentiment from W&W was gold embossed & attached with foam tape over the word.
Debated about adding sequins, but I really like it as is. I'm entering Retro Rubber (W&W sentiment from 2015), Rudolph Days & SSS Wednesday.

3 New Cards & a Fix
Still lots of products in my sale pages.
I was about to put away the Valentine I made for next year. It hit me that it didn't look finished, so I fixed it! Here's the picture I posted a few days ago.
It's smaller than A2, so all I had to do was use a black A2 mat. Now it looks ready to mail & this picture has more accurate color.
Now for my new cards, starting with an entry for the Uniko 8th BD Celebration. I love the beautifully modern poinsettia in the Uniko Season of Beauty set. It can also be a beautiful flower for any season.
I stamped the bold image in Brilliance Pearlescent Lavender & the outline image (purposely not lined up) in Versafine Clair Morning Mist & Delicata Silvery Shimmer. The flower centers & the sentiment from Altenew Floral Frame were stamped in Morning Mist. I just stamped the sentiment 3 times to make it a bit darker. Finished off with gray & lavender splatters. I'm also entering SSS Wednesday & Time Out.
I love silhouette images, so I used my TCP gc to get Simple Blooms which is no longer available. The TPC Tuesday Challenge is to use stencils.
I used a brick one by Magenta with DI pumice stone. The images were stamped in Delicata Emerald Green & the sentiment from the same set was stamped in Versafine Clair Morning Mist. I used a PTI die & Weathervane cardstock to make the frame. Finished off with silver glitter Nuvo Drops. I'm also entering SSS Monday.
Finally is my entry for SSS Flickr, SSS Wednesday & Flickr Love Handmade Cards. I used DI tattered rose & peeled paint with the SSS Bouquet of Roses Stencil. Next I spread white Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel--such gorgeous sparkle!
The colors are soft, but very apparent in person. I silver embossed the sentiment from SSS Thoughtful Messages.

Penny Black & Poppystamps
Still lots of products listed in my for sale pages.
Penny Black was one of the first companies I was introduced to when I started stamping. I still have a huge collection--many wood mounted. My CAS birthday card was inspired by AAA where the theme is one corner & option of using older stamps.
It's been awhile since I used Verdant from 2013 & I paired it with a sentiment from 2004 that I often use. I was also inspired by the JUGS color challenge of Black, Gold, Cream--but didn't make the deadline. Luckily I still have my old fashioned stamp positioner which I used to get a heavy inking of Delicata Golden Glitz--beautiful shimmer in person. The positioner also allowed me to position the sentiment just where I wanted it, although it just took 1 inking with Versafine Clair Nocturne. I'm also entering PBSC & SSS Wednesday.
Next is my entry for Poppystamps February Challenge. Luckily it says you qualify using just 1 animal. The Easter Bunny Egg die is so cute, but I don't think it necessarily has to just be for Easter.
I used Scribble Hello & little alpha stickers for the sentiment. I may add an Easter sentiment inside or just send it as a springy hello card. I did a tiny bit of coloring with markers & a white gel pen to match the LF plaid panel.
The pink background was embossed with a very old herringbone folder. Amazing what a different look you get compared to leaving it plain. I added yellow Stickles to the flowers, black Pico Embellisher to the die cut word & a bow from white embroidery thread. I'm also entering DRU, SSS Wednesday & Virginia's Show & Share.

Valentine for Next Year
I mean to spread out my posts, but didn't work out that way this week. One of my sweet blogging friends let me borrow her new IO die called Lacy Hearts & I love it! Here's my first card using it & the IO sentiment Happy Valentine Day.
I had a beautiful red cardstock scrap just big enough for the hearts & I attached it with spray adhesive to a panel of pink cardstock brushed with a shimmer pen. Boy is it pretty in person. The sentiment was stamped in black & embossed with WOW Clear Braille Ultra High embossing powder which I've had a long time & never used. It's rather chunky & I did it twice. Think it looks kinda cool with this somewhat funky script.
I've seen some people fussy cutting sentiments lately, so decided to give it a try. That way I covered less of the beautiful background & could add the silver thread behind it. The hearts die is on clearance & I just ordered one for me. I'm entering Impression Obsession Hugs & Kisses Challenge & Fusion where I haven't played in a long time.

Altenew, Pinkfresh, Hero Arts
Finally sitting down to post some cards. A couple I already shared on IG. First is my entry for Altenew February Inspiration Challenge. I wanted to use Majestic Mistletoe for more than holiday cards, so that's where I started.
Really--it's just foliage with berries if you don't know it's a mistletoe stamp. The inks are Altenew Just Green & Sweet Leaf with Memento Cottage Ivy & Dandelion. I didn't use the berry layering stamps. Found it was easier to add a dot using a black fine point pen. The Wild Rose was die cut from 2 shades of yellow cardstock, but I made a 3rd by clear embossing the top layer. Can't tell, but there's Stickles on the center. The sentiment from Painted Greetings was stamped in Versafine Clair Onyx. Finished off with black splatters & HA yellow ombre sequins. I'm also entering DCD, The Snippets Playground (black, white & one yellow scrap) & Time Out.
Next is my entry for Pinkfresh February challenge. The retired Felicity collection has pretty much the same colors, so I used the little hearts paper for one element in the sketch at FMS. I may have changed things too much to qualify for that challenge. I mailed this to a blogging friend who just moved to a new house.
Then I found the right color cardstock for the Dainty Blossoms die cuts which I tied with Spellbinders twine that was a perfect match for the card front. The sentiment is from the Felicity stamp set & I finished off with black sequins. I'm also entering DCD.
Recently I watched THIS VIDEO by Gina K. Love seeing a technique with beautiful results that I can actually do! I was so inspired I made 2 cards--yah! The beautiful 2012 HA Leafy Vines stamp worked great. For the first card I used PTI Blueberry Sky & then dabbed on color with several blue Zigs.
I found you can do it all at once like Gina did or you can stamp the base color & then add the darker colors, repeating until you're happy. The sentiment from the 2011 HA Find Joy set was black heat embossed & I added 3 black Pico Embellisher dots. Surprise, surprise--I had to try a pink version!
The base color is PTI Pale Peony & I dabbed on Berry Sorbet. Just for fun, I spritzed with shimmer spray--so beautiful in person.
The sentiment from Find Joy was stamped in Versafine Clair onyx & I added the Pico Embellisher dots. This card is much more vivid in person. I love both versions & plan to try a few more color combos. I'm entering the blue card at ABNH, Virginia's Show & Share & WAW.
