Penny Black and PTI

Penny Black Saturday Challenge
Time for Penny Black Saturday Challenge and we currently have a DT call.  This month our theme is Thank You.  I pulled out the 2008 PB stamp called footnote to make an elegant card that could be sent to a man or woman.
I used my old fashioned stamp positioner to stamp the image twice on a cream panel.  The heat embossing was done with a very old satin bronze embossing powder.  The sentiment from the PB set called dahlias was stamped in Brilliance Graphite Black.  I added tiny dots of Nuvo Black Onyx (using a pointed toothpick) & cut the frame with Lil' Inker Stitched Rectangles.  I'm entering Die Cut Divas & Word Art Wednesday.

Next is my entry for this week's PTI MIM challenge: twine & ribbon wraps.
I die cut the PTI Twig Wreath from dark brown felt & wrapped it with a beautiful cream/brown metallic twine. I stamped the sentiment from PTI Meadow Greens in Hero Arts Cup O' Joe on a Vintage Cream panel & then embossed it with the linen/canvas impression plate.  I wrapped Vintage Cream ribbon around the panel & tied it with a piece of the twine.  The panel was mounted with fun foam to a Vintage Cream card & I added 3 brown, metallic sequins.  Glad to have one of my needed Fall Birthday cards ready to mail.  I'm also entering DRU & Word Art Wednesday.  Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.

  1. Sheer elegance on both Greta but particularly drawn to the second as I have a bit of a thing for wreaths and find them very pleasing on the eye.

    Have a lovely weekend.
