It's that time of year again--The 25 Days of Christmas Tags on Tracey's Blog. Lots of inspiration & wonderful prizes to be won! I don't use a lot of tags, but always need a few. Plus, they can always be added to cards. One of the first tags to catch my eye was made by Anita on Day 1. I love the traditional red & green, but unexpected leaves instead of trees. Instead of stamping, I used MFT Layered Leaves die cuts.
The solid leaves were colored with 3 green Zigs & the top layer was die cut from gold paper. I used red textured cardstock for the noel from SSS Joyeux Noel. The tag is made with Poppystamps Tunnel Tags & the twine has been in my stash forever. I'm also entering SSS Wednesday & CAS-ual Fridays.
I was also drawn to Svitlana's tag on Day 5 with the beautiful natural look of kraft with brown & white. I have several evergreen branch stamps, but decided to use the mistletoe image & sentiment from Hero Art's Happy Holly Days.
The tag is die cut from MFT Fishtail Flags & I used HA Cup O' Joe ink along with white pigment ink. The splatters were done with white paint & I thought the white grosgrain ribbon tied with twine fit the natural look. I'm also entering SSS Wednesday & HLS Christmas Challenge. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.
I love both tags and the nature look of them. Leaves and mistletoe are such natural elements and I love them on your tags. I'm off to P&P today to pick up felt.
ReplyDeletelove your tags, Greta - especially like the kraft one and the leaves on the first one!
ReplyDeleteHey Greta! What a great idea to use non Christmas images in Christmas colors! You don't even need to have Christmas stamps (not that that would be a problem for any of us, hahaha) Love your tags!
