Christmas Cards

I had a couple ideas for a card to enter Winnie & Walter Rerun No. 25.  Finally last night I sat down & made a card based on Lydia's Wreath card which I loved the second I saw it.  I started with a panel of wc paper that had been spritzed with a gold mist & never used.
I made a wreath using images from W&W In Bloom: Frenchy's Festive Florals.  The inks are Brilliance Pearlescent Ivy, Pearlescent Thyme & Pearlescent Poppy.  The gold strip & tiny bursts are done with Delicata Golden Glitz.  I gold heat embossed the sentiment twice for a more solid shine.  Stickles Christmas Red & Golden Rod add some sparkle--hard to see in the photo.  The strip of printed paper was a left over scrap from a card you'll see soon.  Love having a flat card for mailing that I really like.  I'm also entering Rudolph Days & AAA Cards.

Next is my card for SSS Flickr Challenge 85.  The SSS Bright Blossoms white outline die cut was left over & still on my table.
Thought it'd be fun to make it into a Christmas card by using red Heidi Swapp glitter tape behind the openings.  I used Stickles Holly on the leaves for a bit of green.
The sentiment is also SSS & cut from the tape plus white cardstock for the shadow.  I'm also entering HLS Anything Goes with Dies and The Snippets Playground.  Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.

  5. Sorry it is taking me so long to get round to all the entries. I am slogging through slowly yet surely. The antivirals are taking the edge off so I am feeling somewhat better.
You did leave a comment earlier but I do not post them till I have replied to each and every one!
Loving this pretty wreath and especially love the offcentered look of it The stripey strip on the right is so cool!

  6. Me again...I do not see your card linked up to the challenge. I think it is probably because I was so late putting up the challenge post this month.
Can you add it so you can be in the prize draw?
    Thanks, Greta.

  14. I love both cards Greta! The Christmas wreath is so pretty and your snippets card is totally striking. SSS do some fabulous dies I think, but our problem is that our Customs 'Police' just love to pounce and charge import duty - as well as us also having to also pay a premium amount to the Post Office who hold the parcel until duty is paid.

    Hugs

  19. Two lovely cards Greta. I love the strip of striped red next to the gold on your wreath card. Adds a touch of glamour and the sparkly red flower is a standout on the black. Love your work. I have cards to make today and I'm thinking to adopt your lovely edge on the wreath card. Hmm - I hope that's OK?
