Once a year I pull out my very old Kaleidacolor Autumn Leaves ink pad that works just like it did the day I bought it over 15 years ago! Usually I brayer it onto glossy paper, but decided to try stamping the gorgeous Impression Obsession Collage Leaf 5 which I've had since 2013.
It's really gorgeous in person & totally changed the look of the card. The IO Come Ye Thankful sentiment (also in my stash 4 years) had been stamped in Versafine Vintage Sepia, so no problem with the spray. A variety of sequins provide embellishment & the panel was attached to a kraft card. I'm entering Impression Obsession Falling Leaves, Allsorts, Double D, Retro Rubber & Word Art Wednesday. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.
Beautiful card!!
ReplyDeleteHi Greta! This is a beauty! I am glad to hear that you have some of those old inks - I have a couple that I dig out every once in a while myself. The colors are gorgeous and the images themselves are lovely! The layout is one that I need to use again - gorgeous. Thank you for joining us at Retro Rubber!
ReplyDeletethis is so pretty, Greta - love those ombre colors on the leaves and the copper spritz is the perfect touch! after today i think mike riley will be heading back to oregon soon.
ReplyDeleteThe perfect stamp to team with your sentiment and I love that variagated colour you've achieved with the stamping. Beautiful work. TFS
ReplyDeleteAlways loved those inkpads but we just don't see them here in the UK anymore, love your stylish Autumnal leaves using it. Many thanks for joining us at Allsorts challenge this week.

Gorgeous card and fantastic use of the rainbow inkpad. I had a bunch of them and gave them away, probably should have hung on to them :) I hope you are doing well xx
ReplyDeleteps... thanks for the photo editing info :) much appreciated x
ReplyDeleteThis card is a beauty. It amazes me how long stamp pads last. I bought a set of pigment inks that look like little teardrops at least 18 years ago that are still bright and vibrant today. I also have those Kaleidacolor pads in different colors that I never think to use. I have a rainbow birthstone one and a pastel one that still have the plastic wrapper on them. That is shameful.
ReplyDeleteStunning card and love the quote.

My two Kaleidacolor pads that I've had forever are still in perfect working order, too. Your spray looks fantastic. I'd never know it was vanilla card stock. I'm glad you shared this at Double D!
