Birthday & Spring

I've finished some cards in the last few days, but just haven't gotten a post written.  Two challenges are about to close, so here they are.
First is my entry for PTI MIM Stamping Outside of the Box.  I didn't get very creative as this is one of my favorite layouts.
Hard to tell, but I actually brushed 4 inks (New Leaf, Vintage Jadeite, Green Parakeet & Mint Julep) onto the masked area using Bristol paper for easier blending. Some water was splashed on for texture before I stamped the leafy image from Harvest Berries in VersaMagic Jumbo Java. The sentiment is from Take 3 Summer & I used New Leaf for some tiny splatters.  The panel was matted with Dark Chocolate cardstock.  No bling since I think this may go to a guy.  I'm also entering CAS on Sunday, HLS CAS challengeSSS Wednesday & Stamping Sensations.

Next is my card for CCCB Birthday Case #1.  Kirsty is one of my blogging friends & I love her beautiful card!
I was inspired by the black & white stripes, 2 shades of pink, use of vellum & white on black sentiment strip.  Gave me a chance to try making distressed stripes with a black COPIC marker--so fun!  The bloom from PTI Friendly Flowers was stamped in Sweet Blush & Lovely Lady with the leaves die cut from vellum.  I used an old Stampendous stamp for the sentiment.
Instead of enamel dots, I used Nuvo silver glitter drops.  I'm also entering ATSM, CTS, Inkspirational & Penny Black & More.  Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.

Take it, it's yoursPlease do grab our logo to display on your own blog

  16. Two lovely cards Greta. I especially love the foliage on the top card, it reminds me of my Maidenhair fern - so pretty and great that it's graphic enough to be used for a man. Then the stripes (WOW) with the pink flower; on trend and stunning.
