I Did It...

I did it...cut my hair & fully resigned!  I'm putting out my retirement cards you all sent a year ago when I gave up my regular schedule.  It's mostly a mental change since I haven't been working many shifts anyway.
Finally finished my simple card for Winnie & Walter's March Color Challenge.  I used Distress Markers worn lipstick, spun sugar, milled lavender, tumbled glass & mustard seed--close as I could get to the pretty inspiration photo.
This is my first card using True Multifaceted Border Cutaways--so fun! The outline die cut is covered in prisma glitter & the card front is splattered with the inks.  I used a sentiment from Big, Bold, Seasons for a festive birthday card. Finished off with PPP clear sparkling sequins.  I'm also entering Darnell's NBUS #11, SSS Wednesday & Word Art Wednesday. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.

  7. Congrats on your retirement and the new hair style. It looks lovely. I struggled for a while with withdrawal symptoms, when I finally retired from Nursing, but now I wonder how I did it and I relish the extra time for crafting. I love your jewel bright card with the different shapes and the splashes. The clear sparkling sequins are gorgeous. I'm going to hunt around for some of those.

  14. I love your new haircut. I bet it just bounces when you move. I love retirement and don't know how I had time to work now that my days are filled up! Your card is so pretty and the fun colors and shapes make it unique. My SIL and I went to Petite Chou Tuesday but we couldn't get in the one we went to so we had to go to the one on the north side. It didn't have all of the same menu so I was a bit disappointed that the dessert wasn't the same. But still great food.

  28. Like the hair cut to go along with a fresh start in living retired! My hubby sold his dental practice in Jan. 2008 but worked 2-4 days/month at a local public health clinic. He gave notice this week to stop by the end of June when his malpractice insurance ends!
