As you saw in my last post, I'm loving Melissa Phillips' masked heart wreath technique. I wanted to try color combos of red & white and black & white.
The stamp sets are PTI Garden Gild, Fancy Foliage, Lovely Layers & Quilled Elegance. The inks are VersaMagic Red Magic & Brilliance Graphite Black. The red card is spritzed with Perfect Pearls & the PTI love die cut is covered with Spectrum Noir clear sparkle pen & Diamond Glaze. I thought I had some heart shaped doilies, but turned out this was my only white one. Think I need to find some more!
I'm entering CAS on Sunday (red card), Double D (black card) & Word Art Wednesday (black card). Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.
Edited to add: I'm also entering the black card in Paru's Card Making Challenges.
A little extra mad money is always a good thing!! Your Valentines are pretty Greta. Love the traditional red and white, but that black and white versions is so elegant!!
ReplyDeleteBoth of your masked hearts are beautiful, Greta! Ugh, just the mention of WORK frightens me. I pray everyday I don't have to do that after retiring early in 2004. : ) The extra $ for stamping supplies would definitely be nice though…but I'll remain retired.
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely rocking that style!
ReplyDeleteI always LOVE your HEART cards and these are fantastic!

ReplyDeleteIt's so great that you can just step back into the job like you were there yesterday. You have the best of both worlds. Kinda retired but still able to fill in. These cards are gorgeous. So different from each other but equally eye catching. The heart doilie is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love this technique! Saw it recently on someone's blog and I think it's so pretty. I really love the heart doily on your second card, too, and the sentiment is ideal for a friend-Valentine. I wish you luck with your return to work. I hope it's not too much.
