It's always fun to start the year with PTI MIM A La Carte. I participated in almost all of the challenges in 2016, but my card for String Art Using Die Cuts didn't make a pattern like you're supposed to. Boy did I have fun doing it right this time!
I used the scalloped note card die from PTI Don't Forget to Write kit & added the stitching holes with a paper piercer. The tiny scallops required tiny holes, so I used pink thread & a small needle to do the string art. I've always loved the color combo of pink & kraft & it's nice to use my thread for something other than mending--haha! This was my first time to actually figure out how to use the stamps & bouquet die in the kit--yah! Now maybe I'll start using the kit--what an idea! The PTI inks are Lovely Lady, Raspberry Fizz, Ocean Tides & Aqua Mist.
Wink of Stella was used to add shimmer to the bouquet & the large word is white embossed to tie in. Think this will work to send to a blogging friend for Valentine's Day. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by. I'm also entering DRU, HLS Anything Goes with Dies, The Playground, SSS Monday & Word Art Wednesday.
Greta, Your card is so creative. The string art is really impressive, I would have never thought to do something like that. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us at Word Art Wednesday!

Beautiful card, love the bright colours on the Kraft paper. And oh my gosh it's so nice to see stitching on paper, gorgeous! When I started making cards around 11 or 12 years ago, I was using paper folding and stitching techniques only, no stamping. My craft supplies would fit into a very small plastic drawer and I only needed one small table. My how it's grown since then! I laughed one day as a friend called my craft room 'the room of a thousand things'... too funny and true. Well I should stop rambling on... have a great weekend xx
ReplyDeleteNow this is real talent. I love this, Greta. It is a work of art and should be framed. The string art reminds me of the spirograph the kids used to play with. I was always amazed at the designs and I am amazed at your lovely card. The flowers and shine are just beautiful as well as the string art.
