Masculine BD Card

My brother's BD is in the Fall, so I usually make him a card with Fall colored leaves.  I decided it was time for a change & wanted to use his favorite color--red.  The theme at Twofers is numbers & I have just what I need--a Hero Arts stencil I may have only used once.  A dauber was used to apply Versamark ink which I covered with Zing Rouge embossing powder.  I love this old Hero Arts sentiment stamp--really makes a statement. The stenciled panels were backed with fun foam for solid dimension.  Gems are a no-no for guy's cards, but I think the little hearts are OK for my brother who I dearly love.  A stencil is a type of mask, so I'm entering at a2z Scrapbooking and the red & white color scheme lets me enter at Double D.  I'll also enter Word Art Wednesday.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

  11. Hello, Greta, fellow Oregonian! Great card for your brother. The relative simplicity is perfect and, I think the tiny gem hearts are just right for any beloved family member or friend, male or female. My husband and son have to put up with a lot from me. They just shake their heads and grin. Thanks for sharing this in our Red and White Challenge at Double D!
