Floral Valentine
I absolutely love the Ellen Hutson Pin Sights Challenge inspiration board but today I realized the challenge is closing & I still haven't made a card. That resulted in Monday's chores being moved to Tuesday--a shock, I know--haha! This card drew inspiration from the bouquets with deep red, pink & green plus the stunning garnet & diamond ring. EH Bold Blossoms were cut from watercolor paper. The flowers are watercolored with Adirondack Cranberry & for the second time I used my new Zig markers to color the leaves. My newest EH purchase, the Merry and Bright dies, are great since the "happy" is for year round. I cut 3 from black cardstock & clear embossed the top one. "Happy" was masked off so I could heat emboss the rest of the old A Muse sentiment. 3 PPP Sparkling Clear Sequins provide embellishment representing the diamonds & the panels are cut with Lil' Inker stitched rectangles.
I'm also entering these challenges: Pixie's Snippets Playground, SSS Work it Wednesday (word die & Zigs are new), Time Out (inspired by the floral focal point with sequins & a sentiment), SSS Wednesday. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.
so very pretty, greta... love the way you positioned the die cut above the sentiment. (so funny that we both used the same bold blossom dies for our EH cards!! great minds...)

ReplyDeleteHello wonderful Greta! Hanging my head in shame at being so behind in commenting; life’s been supremely hectic, what with work, travel (which involved work…crazy amounts - I was marking Provincial English exams for 10 days!), DT commitments (which I’ve fallen behind in, too) and a plethora of other stuff! I hope that my ‘thought bubbles of love’ for all your cards have reached you, because I send them frequently! Starting with a fresh slate with a goal to staying caught up. Crushing all over your pretty scribbly flowers; charming for a Valentine's Day card!
