It's official--I've joined the Senior Citizen ranks! Most people think I'm a little younger, so must have inherited those genes from my folks who always looked younger than they were. I'm grateful for my good health & count every day a blessing, so that makes birthdays a good thing! Hubby's sweet daughter & her family sent me the little miniature rose bush.
Couldn't miss the Ellen Hutson February Mix It Up Challenge because this time I have tons of products for the featured company--Penny Black! Maybe I can make at least one more. This card uses EH Big Blossom dies & a sentiment from my newest PB stamp, love & hugs. I began by inking white cardstock with Distress Inks worn lipstick & festive berries. Then I die cut all the blossoms (have a bunch still to use) & added a bit more festive berries with a waterbrush in the darker areas for even more contrast. The leaves are all cut from a scrap of vellum. Loved the sketch at The Challenge as soon as I saw it & it's the basis of my design.
I usually brush on Tsukineko Shimmer Spritz, Frost, but this time I sprayed the whole thing & wowzer--it's gorgeous in real life! I'll be using this for a thank you. I'm also entering SSS Monday, Addicted to CAS, CropStop, & Time Out. Thank you all for helping me celebrate with cards, gifts & good wishes--you've made my day!
Love your card, and you look fantastic - happy birthday, Greta!
