Glittery Border

I love getting ideas from the PTI MIM videos.  This week involves glitter, so I had to play along!  I used the MFT Open Zig Zag die which I ran through my Zyron, just like Dawn showed in the video.  The nice thing about using this method is that the glitter is attached so well almost none comes off when you touch it.  The bloom (2 stamps) from PTI Flower Fusion #8 is inked with Memento markers Lulu Lavender & Sweet Plum.  I used the stem from Flower Fusion #9 & inked it & the panel edges with Color Box Celadon.  The sentiment is also from Flower Fusion #9 & is stamped in Versafine Smokey Gray--seem to be using that ink a lot lately.  Something just seemed to be missing, so I stamped the bloom again & used it's matching die so I could pop it up over the original stamped image.  It made all the difference--amazing!  Just finished off with some purple gems.  Unfortunately, the next birthday card I need is for a man--LOL!  Thanks for coming by & don't forget to join in my challenge if you'd like.

  1. Hello Greta
I often feel CAS cards have a flawless beauty about them when they are designed well, this is such a card, it is breath-taking in its simplicity, your glittery border adds some texture and a tactile quality that is not always seen on a CAS card. Like your Snowflake card it is stunning.

  3. Greta - terrific clean and simple card. I love how you used your border die at the bottom of your panel. It fits so well with your stamped image. The bling under your sentiment really finishes off the card. Cute pup also! Defintely, my week point - way to many cute dog stamps! Thanks for taking the time to stop at my blog.

  12. This is so beautiful with the seafoam green. I haven't used that colour or anythoing similar to that in a very long time. Thanks for reminding me of how beautiful and spring like it really is and that the soft colour is stunning against so many colours. Love the shimmer and shine. Been such a long time since I have been here and just want to say that your blog design is very pretty. Hugs.

  16. Another gorgeous card and such a clever way to use the the glitter trim. And I think popping the flower up was a great decision. I'm sure it looked nice before, but the added dimension adds a wow factor for me. It's one of the first things I noticed (after the beautiful glittery trim.)
