Today is the 1st anniversary of my blog & I now have 50 followers--thank you everyone for your encouragement & support! As I start my second year I'm posting my card for the challenge at a new blog I've joined called Muse. Marion's bright & cheery card is this week's inspiration. I haven't really joined the Washi tape revolution, so I used stamps to make my strips. The little flower & star are from Penny Black's Sentiments set & the graphic image is from Penny Black's Puzzle Parts set. I really had fun making this card & hope you like it. The inks are Memento Dandelion, Cantaloupe & Teal Zeal and VersaMagic Mango Madness. The stickers are Recollection. I wanted the card to have a bit of "me" & not be a total copy of the inspiration, so I added flowers. The blue one is inked with the Teal Zeal & covered with Glossy Accents. The white one is MFT Mini Rolled Rose with a pearl in the center. The orange one is Recollections with a touch of Stickles yellow which is also added to the center of the blue flower & some of the little stamped ones.

I like your card by the way.....the color combo is so upbeat and Spring-y to me.....something us Wisconsites sorely need!

I remember how you were a little hesitant with the whole idea of starting up, but I for one am glad you did, you must admit it has been enjoyable, not just for you but for me and your followers as well. If I have the time Greta I will case one of your cards, I have only ever cased one other and that was Rosies a few years back. You have made some beautiful cards and I do believe you have developed a style that is kind to the eye, great take on the washi tape, but it is your little flowers that I love and make this card special.

ReplyDeleteFirst ~ Happy "One" Year Blog Birthday! Wow! I just started a blog at the beginning of February, and what a wonderful decision that was! Even though I'm a novice to card-making, people have been so supportive and encouraging with my 'attempts' to enter challenges. This leads me to
THANK YOU for your comment on my Grammy-Super Baba card! I'm very much touched by your compliment, especially in light of how GORGEOUS your creations are! When someone with your talent recognizes something 'pretty' in my undertakings - and invests time to let me know - that has impact! Your thoughtful, heart-warming gesture amps up my motivation to 'carry on'.
I think your idea to celebrate by inviting us to 'case' one of your cards is nifty! It'll be challenging to narrow the selection down to 'just one', as all are so lovely!
